My wife watches CNN every morning when she gets up. She tells me she can distinguish their lies from their news, to which I reply, “What news?” A lot of us live in mixed marriages. My middle daughter is a theatre kid and wants us to all become homosexuals. She and her mother agree most of the time. My oldest and youngest and my step son agree with me. I'll take three out of four.

When we married, she and her parents were Ford Republicans. I was a Reagan Democrat who hated Ford and voted for Carter. I was eighteen. Forgive me.

There's a point where we have to have faith in our Creator. I don't have that many years left, but I remember a lot of us were worked up in similar fashion at Clinton, Waco, Ruby Ridge, the ATF, Mena, et al. back in 1993-94. We all voted and went back to sleep. We see the results of our slumber.

Hubby works with a guy who just found out this election that his wife of 7 years is a flaming lib. He swears he had no idea and is completely shocked at her views. I knew in the first 10 minutes of conversation with her the first time I met her. That was over 3 years ago. How can you NOT have any idea the political leanings of the person you’ve been living with for 7 years? And they don’t even have kids, so it’s not like they were distracted other people in the house.
