PALIN FAILS THE ESTRICH GRAVITY TEST
The Aged P ^ | 23/03/09 | sussex

Susan Estrich thinks the Republicans are in a vacuum.

“Imagine how different things might be right now if there were a Republican Party. I mean a party like the one led by Ronald Reagan, George Bush or Newt Gingrich; a party with a program, a single set of talking points, and the technological and communications advantages to get their message across. That kind of Republican Party. The kind that doesn't exist right now.”

Susan Estrich kindly offers some advice to the Republican Party and, even though she is a lawyer - she is not charging for it.....

PALIN FAILS THE ESTRICH GRAVITY TEST

That's kinda the difference between a body that attracts and one that repulses.

Susan Estrich is exactly right! The Republicans are in disarray.

However, I’m still a little nauseous after watching Susan Estrich slobber all over Bibi Netanyahu a coupld years back - it was a sickening sight and even Bibi was turned off. It made me realize that Susan Estrich loves Israel but hates America!

Of course, nothing new there. Liberals hating America.

I remember how proud I was of Gingrich when he took Clinton to the woodshed again and again, and Clinton was forced to accept Gingrich’s policies, enact them, and then try to take credit for them, which he does to this day.

I remember the so-called “government shutdowns” when Gingrich demonstrated to anyone paying attention how little of the government we actually needed to get along.

I also remember the day Gingrich suddenly went all soft and cuddly toward Clinton, and I said out loud, Clinton’s got something on him.

And he evidently did. I would like to see Gingrich claw his way back, but losing him right at the height of the battle against Clinton was tragic. We need another Gingrich, meaning a guy with a clear vision where we need to go, who absolutely loves to do battle. The old Gingrich will probably not be that guy. He has a role to play as our philosopher, but his warrior days are done.

“Sarah Palin is still the big draw for Republicans, with Bobby Jindal now a distant second. But neither of them, as recent history has painfully proved, have the experience, gravity, understanding or credibility to go toe to toe with Tim Geithner, Larry Summers and the rest as to what the economy needs, and doesn't.

I'd put Paul Ryan up against those two goofs (Geithner and Summers) any day of the week.

Susan is just jealous that Sarah has defied gravity, where as Susan has to call Joan River to find out who her surgeon was...

Why is Susan Estrich so concerned about the Governor of Alaska? Or the Governor of Louisiana? These people have their own jobs to do.

When one party controls the Presidency and both houses of Congress, it is only natural that the opposition will not have a defined leader until a the next Presidential primary season is well underway. We’ll pick our leader in 2012.

Frankly, if we did have a leader, he would just be demonized 24/7 by the Round-Heeled Media, anyway. So it is probably just as well that we don’t. If that means that commentators, such as Susan Estrich, will have to make arguments on the merits rather than just ad-hominem attacks on our “leader”, I can live with that.

I mean a party like the one led by Ronald Reagan, George Bush or Newt Gingrich; a party with a program, a single set of talking points, and the technological and communications advantages to get their message across.

I agree with Reagan and Gingrich, but how can anyone talk about either President Bush having a program or a single set of talking points? George W. Bush had one forced upon him on 9/11, but even that was only for foreign policy and wasn't quite as clear as it should be becuase of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

We do need a focused, quick to state policy. It can be more detailed underneath, but we need a grabber like "Defeat the Soviet Union and reduce taxes" from Reagan or Gingrich's Contract with America. We don't have that yet, but after another month or two of Obama it might be "Anyone but Obama".

Any test with Estrich's name on it is a good test to fail.

Thats all I'll say about that.

First of all, I think Sarah Palin’s body has greater chance of passing the gravity test than does the body of Susan Estrich.

That being said, the quote posted above from Susan Estrich is pretty much the way I feel.

Yes, old whores end up giving it away for nothing - or close to it in exchange for being listened to.
