The White House normally rushes video of all the President’s speeches to the media. But they have not yet released video of last night’s teleprompter mishap in which the President mistakenly read the Irish Prime Minister’s speech and thanked himself for inviting himself to the White House.
As a result of the White House’s attempt to cover up Obama’s gaffe, IHateTheMedia.com is officially requesting a copy of the video through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed with the White House Office of Administration of the Executive Office of the President.
“We hope this action will force the White House to end its blatant cover-up and release the footage of the President’s faux pas,” a spokesman for IHateTheMedia.com said. “We know the liberal press would already be howling for congressional investigations if the Bush White House had delayed release of similar footage.”
“We didn’t want to take this action,” the spokesman continued, “but the Obama White House must learn that it is not above the law.”
Let’s see if this will force the White House to release the potentially embarrassing footage.

After 24 hours of not being released?? That seems a bit over the top.

Did Obama realize the gaffe when he thanked himself or did he have to be interrupted from further making a fool of himself by a lackey?
Obama inherited the teleprompters from the previous administration. These times are the hardest this country has seen.
Obama was hoping to CHANGE the teleprompter for "stuff, it uh gets uh a little complicated here".

I can understand how one could begin reading a speech from a teleprompter and not realize right away that you are reading the wrong speech. But it is funny. Would like to hear the speech in question.
The best explaination of what happened was given today by El Rushbo. It was so complicated I can’t remember many details. We have to see it. That video has got to surface...America deserves to know! Yeah, like the MSM is gonna offer up their guy to such normal criticism. It will surface eventually. Just like other (ah hem!) things of Zero’s that are missing. Oh what a tangled web we weave...when first we practice to deceive.
You understand how you could read words thanking yourself for inviting yourself?
I don’t.
But then again, I’d have asked to see a copy of “my” speech beforehand. Wasn’t there a great deal of praise during the election for Obama’s speech writing skills, and about how he wrote his own? I guess he no longer bothers to roll his own.
