In 2004, Comrade Obama was on the Randi Rhodes show to commiserate on their loss at the polls, and he let fly some criticism about what "intimidates" him about the Bush administration. "When you rush these budgets, that are a foot high, and nobody has any idea what's in them, and nobody has read them..."

Not so easy when you actually have to come into office and do the job as it exists.
There is a way to get out from under all these onerous chores. Tell Joe Biden he can HAVE the accursed Job, and go home to retirement in Hawaii.

Consistency is not a virtue Obama subscribes to. A serious and effective press would point this out, it's not hard to do. Here is a partial list:
  - He was against administrations using fear to push through bills without proper debate and yet he did exactly that.
 - He was against earmarks but signed a budget with 9000 of them in it.
 - He was against signing statements which he considered an abuse of power yet he is now using them.
 - He said he thinks cop killers should get the death penalty or life in prison but he's okay with Bill Ayers who orchestrated cop killings.
 - He said a president has to be able to multitask but explained his gaffes with the British PM as his being too focused on one thing to plan it right.
 - He said we can't keep our homes at 72 degrees but he turned up the heat in the white house.
