Back in early 2007, about 20 months before the last Presidential election, I wrote a post called “Why I can’t trust John McCain.” I wasn’t alone. A Google search on “I don’t trust McCain” reveals a couple thousand hits.

I grew tired of McCain fighting our agenda, voting against tax cuts, bowing to global warming loons, insulting Christian leaders, ganging against us with his liberal “Gang of 14” and passing useless laws with liberals like Russ Feingold. Not to mention his ignoring of CPAC.

The Press rewarded him with the name “Maverick” for bashing the Republican Party (if a Democrat bucks his party, like Lieberman, the Press paints him as a traitor, not a maverick).

Let’s face it – he only won the Republican primary because he was the only face we recognized. Obviously we didn’t fully support him in November. Years ago I wrote columns asking that he switch parties, but like the drunkest guest at a barbeque he just won’t leave.

Now comes his daughter Meghan McCain. Proving the old adage that the poop doesn’t fall far from the pig’s rear-end, Meghan has joined her father in the Republican bashing business.

The McCain's think they can gain some political capital out of falling into the back of their party and attacking their own; people like Rush, Coulter, etc.

The Republicans have a long and rich tradition of “eating their own.”
