It is dangerous to believe the God of the Old Testament is a differnt God in the New Testament. Jesus said He didn’t come to change the Law, but to fullfill it. Things are no different now than they were. Otherwise you may be tempted to believe the Old Testament is no longer valid. The same God that cried out “Forgive them for they know not what they do”, killed every man, woman, and child in Sodom, and indeed killed every living creature on the face of the earth in the Flood. Bill Ayres and his ilk was a warning to the US for our drug use, sexual imorality, and murder of babies in the womb. Our country’s culture made a huge shift from the ‘50’s to the ‘60’s and we couldn’t defeat our enemies in Viet Nam, our President resigned in dishonor, the streets were on fire, murder, imorality, and almost every measurable culture norm declined during this period. Ayres was just a tool to chastise God’s people during this period. Needless to say, we didn’t learn a thing. God will quell the rebellion against Him by His people. It’s just a matter of degree of how far we take it before God gives us His blessing again. Praying for our enemies fail is a prayer for God’s people to repent and call on His name and He will forgive and shower His blessing on His people. My fear is God’s people won’t recognise evil and reject it. Remember Ayres is unrepentant. He is the enemy of your people. Don’t be on the wrong side because you misunderstand Scriptures.

Christianity is not some 100% muddle-headed mush toward evil. Not by a long shot.
Compassion and redemption are God’s nature, preference and the reason for Christ’s coming and dying.
And He would certainly prefer that not any would perish.
However, it is clear from the New Testament that many will perish—in this New Testament era.
It is clear from the New Testament that individuals can reach the point of no return with God.
And at some point, The NEW TESTAMENT EXHORTS US to
shake the dust of our feet off against individuals even cities.
And that it will be worse for them than it was for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment.
God is also a consuming fire.
David is a good image of a New Testament Christian.
There will be a time when the lion will lay down with the lamb.
That is not now.
Between now and then, blood will flow as high as the horses’ bridals.
Between now and then, CHRISTIANS WILL BE CALLED UPON TO DO MIGHTY WORKS OF VALOR.
Yes, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.
Yes, we are to have sacrificial compassion for the lost around us.
That does not mean we are to be stupid.
I for one would not have a great problem killing many evil doers in defense of my family, loved ones, folks God had placed under my care.
It would, if I had time to ponder it, grieve me to send anyone to hell. I know what great pain and suffering feel like. I wouldn’t really wish that on even Hitler.
However, God consigns a rather large number of folks to the consequences of their rebellions against Him.
It is foolishness to pretend that we are going to be more loving or more righteous in our judgments of others than God is.
No you misunderstand me. I’m not saying the Old Testament is invalid or that it describes a different God. The Old Testatment gives us God’s law. The new testatment shows us the plan to salvation despite our gross deficincies in following the law.
I completely agree with you that Bill Ayers is a piece of s***, I just can’t follow that up with “in Jesus Name” in good conscience. No biggie, just a comment in passing.

to me and from me toward others.
Those who know me best with the greatest prophetic discernment describe me as the most forgiving and merciful person they’ve ever met.
God knows and He is the one I’m most concerned with pleasing.
He is the one who has worked that forgiveness and mercy into the fabric of my being.
However, God is not muddleheaded toward evil.

The union's accusation surprised some authorities. According to a source familiar with the probe, who spoke on condition of anonymity, investigators have found no evidence that links the Weather Underground to the bombing.

Sorry, wrong again. We do not condemn people to Hell anymore than we can save them. God's does that alone. We can hang the commie bastard, and God can do as He wishes with His soul. You body and your soul aren't connected.
If Ayres is convicted, and spends the rest of his life in prison, that has nothing to do with his salvation. Jesus said He would that everyone come to salvation, but He knew, and you know that's not going to happen. As long as Ayres is the enemy of God, why pray for his success in destroying God's people? You ask God for His utter and complete defeat of Ayres.
Your relationship with God isn't the same as Ayres relationship with God. Ayres would gut you like a fish if he had the chance. God can forgive Ayres if he asks, just as you had to to form a relationship with God. Ayres is the enemy of God, and ergo your enemy.
Just as a hypothetical, lets say Ayres is convicted of murder and sent to jail. In jail, he come to saving knowledge of Jesus. His life has changed, but he still owes a debt that must be paid. His salvation isn't a "get out of jail free" card.
Regarding 0bama and his cronies ... I think it right and just to pray for their repentance and conversion, however unlikely I might consider it.

To Love is a verb. It means "to know, will and do the good of another". What could be a greater good for those people than for them to publicly abandon their evil ways, embrace Christ, and be saved?

Jesus Christ Himself said that we are to love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who persecute us. Last time I checked, the Holy Gospel According to St. Luke was part of the NEW TESTAMENT.

Many times in our lives, this principle will be put to the test and failing it if pretty serious. The Bible tells us that we must be able to recognize evil and deal with it. God also tells us that if we can't see it, even the "elect" will be fooled. Evil has entered our churches, our government, our culture, and we can't seem to make up our collective minds as to what to do with it. The AntiChrist will take over and persecute the "Church" ( meaning the REAL church) and the other "church" will believe they are doing God's will.
I think the reason abortion and sodomy are such large subjects today is we must be able to agree on the most "in your face" basic tenets of God's Will, or we can't possibly agree on ancillary questions. We have already folded on fornication and adultery and lying. You know everybody does that./sarc
I don't think Jesus will recognize most churches when He returns and His people will be slaughtered by well meaning people that think they know what God would want them to do. The rise of "believers" that accept sodomites and baby killers is most disturbing and I can't imagine what is taught in the pulpit that would fool the people in the pews. Not reading and studying the Bible is destroying Christianity today. When Obama said Jesus covered homosexual marriage in the Sermon on the Mount, there wasn't even a peep from the peanut gallery. Certainly OThuga’s confession, repentance and conversion would be infinitely greater than him continuing as he is.
I just, quite honestly, have no press in my spirit to pray in those ways about or for him.
The press in my spirit is for him to experience the consequences of his choices and be removed from public life ASAP.
I’m quite happy that those who feel led to pray for his conversion are doing so.
