The Great De Stabilization
National Review ^ | 03/08/2009 | Mark Steyn

British prime minister Gordon Brown thought long and hard about what gift to bring on his visit to the White House last week. Barack Obama is the first African-American president, so the prime minister gave him an ornamental desk-pen holder hewn from the timbers of one of the Royal Navy’s anti-slaving ships of the 19th century, HMS Gannet. Even more appropriate, in 1909 the Gannet was renamed HMS President.

The president’s guest also presented him with the framed commission for HMS Resolute, the lost British ship retrieved from the Arctic and returned by America to London, and whose timbers were used for a thank-you gift Queen Victoria sent to Rutherford Hayes: the handsome desk that now sits in the Oval Office.

Perhaps we could help out the President and send a number of Fruit Cakes to him, which he could re-gift to foreign leaders when they drop by unexpectedly.

“If you look at it its a barn if you smell it its a stable.”

“Well let’s just look at it.”

Going to take a wild guess that is not available in the gift shop for $15.00.

Yeah, I could probably throw together some of those “bunker buster bundts” to send him.

This was not a lazy, unthinking, unintentional snub. Obama is surrounded by apparatchiks who know quite well the value and purpose of diplomacy, and gifts borne in a first meeting of national leaders are nothing if not diplomatic.

That our drooling sycophant media are not covering the blowup tells me it was no accident, too.

If there is any notice taken, just watch which nations are the beneficiaries of any “recovery” from the “blunder.”

I would have given prince Barry a piece of wood recovered from a deck chair from the RMS Titanic

Apparently the good Leader failed to consider the probability that Obama's ancestors were slavers, not slaves.

Obama has two personal reasons (in his mind) to snub the Brits. First, he wrote in his book that his grandfather was viciously tortured by the British during the Kenyan struggle for independence. Second, he may think that he should distance himself from any perceived loyalty to the British because of claims that he is not a natural born citizen due to his dual citizenship at birth.

It’s more than a lack of simple etiquette or weariness from presidential duties. It’s personal to him.

This is a hatred presidency, a reparations presidency, a “get mad AND get even” presidency, a “chickens coming home to roost” presidency. This is payback is a bitch time. In the minds of the punks now cavorting around the white house, the only test of goodness is are the historical “victims” “benefitting” and are the historical “villains” suffering. It’s not about the traditional metrics of good and bad, it’s serving up heaping servings of crow to anyone who has sleighted them in the past. A race card and victim card presidency. The sermons of “Reverend” Wright, writ large on the national stage.

It would not surprise me to learn that Obama is in fact a red agent. Brainwashed overseas a la THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE.

In other words, Bush’s detractors were fond of saying that Bush used his personal faith to guide and influence his decisions. Zero is doing the same, it’s just that Zero’s faith is the Black liberation theology of Rev. Wright. This is what America voted for and this is what America got.

Oh, make no mistake, he’s a Communist. I don’t say that lightly. He has had close ties to Communists since childhood.

“He has had close ties to Communists since childhood.”

This is a polite way to describe Obamachev’s relationship with his mentor, the communist pedophile UncleFrank.
