Cuba has released their linux variant "Nova." There's problems in the Ministry of Marketing however, and Fidel isn't happy about it! NOTE: The author of this comic requests that you visit his web site and please refrain from copying the cartoon within this thread. Thanks!

but the commies in Chicago were very good about marketing The Obama Persona.

Didn’t even need to have a real person behind it. Just an animatronic black guy who they plug into the teleprompter.

not grammatically correct, but yeah.

there was that whole Chevy Nova disaster in the 80s in Mexico. The car basically sucked but in Mexico it sucked even worse and the marketing guys supposedly ‘discovered’ that since it meant ‘No Go’ in Spanish that they were marketing something as brilliant as the ‘Y(o)U GO’ here in the US.

Essentially, Americans don’t want tiny cars and Mexicans couldn’t afford the Nova. Those are the most likely REAL reasons for the failures but, hey, those urban legends do make much more compelling stories. Did you hear the one about the poodle and the microwave???

FYI

The new Anheuser-Busch InBev has a 45% share of the Cuban market.
