not grammatically correct, but yeah.

there was that whole Chevy Nova disaster in the 80s in Mexico. The car basically sucked but in Mexico it sucked even worse and the marketing guys supposedly ‘discovered’ that since it meant ‘No Go’ in Spanish that they were marketing something as brilliant as the ‘Y(o)U GO’ here in the US.

Essentially, Americans don’t want tiny cars and Mexicans couldn’t afford the Nova. Those are the most likely REAL reasons for the failures but, hey, those urban legends do make much more compelling stories. Did you hear the one about the poodle and the microwave???
