Are you kidding me? He could have least got the man a watch. Or a nice bottle of wine. Hell, even a Snuggie would have been a better gift. George and Weezie are just way out of their league in this realm. And it occurred to me. No doubt these DVDs were made in China. Thanks for supporting the American economy asshat.
As he headed back home from Washington, Gordon Brown must have rummaged through his party bag with disappointment.
Because all he got was a set of DVDs. Barack Obama, the leader of the world's richest country, gave the Prime Minister a box set of 25 classic American films - a gift about as exciting as a pair of socks.
Mr Brown is not thought to be a film buff, and his reaction to the box set is unknown. But it didn't really compare to the thoughtful presents he had brought along with him. Marking the special relationship: The Browns put a lot of thought into their gifts for the Obamas - but the gesture did not seem to be reciprocated
What was in the Box:

Wow! Did it include the Star Wars box set?!
Maybe 24 - seasons 1 and 2?!
He gives ACORN 4 Billion and our closest ally some useless DVDs. Why not just give him a Carton of smokes?
Pray for America, Our Troops and obama’s Continued Failure
...The Hong Kong rips of “Dragon-Ball Z” no doubt.
It’s a good gift for someone in college who needs a good core of movies for their collection. It’s not a good diplomatic gift for the head of a nuclear armed nation.
Yeah. I’m sure that’s what Brown is saying. “Good gift”. Why not just give him a year’s membership to Netflix?
I was reading some of the comments from some English message boards and they’re laughing their ass off.
Did he get them from Wal-Mart’s bargain bin?
Now that’s a gift that Brown and his significant other can enjoy. Good call.
He was lucky. Michelle wanted to give him a set of Sham-Wows.
Was the bust/statue of Winston Churchill on the plane ride home to Britain with Gordon Brown?
Were they compatible with UK DVD players even?
Clueless in the Whitehouse.
Ha Ha. I bet not. Considering Hillary’s gaffe with Russia today, I doubt this regime has the knowledge of foreign nations to have made that connection.
Dude I looked at the movie list. Those are movies everyone already owns. Seriously its like one of those things you order from tv ads.
He didn’t even get him “good” dvds. Hell he could have at least gotten him some anime.
Did he get “Weekend at Bernie’s”?
>Its not a good diplomatic gift for the head of a nuclear armed nation.
_I_ could give the man a better gift, with my own money.... and I’m a college student! ... A jar of green chile, some mozzarella & provolone, and a couple steaks and I could cool up a nice Steak Tampaquiña! {Yum!}
Heck, I could have returned Churchill with a lot more dignity & grace... simply decline the offer to have him another four years saying “Thank you, but I really don’t deserve it... he ought to be back with Brittan.” then deliver Winston in person. {Also you could throw in the self-deprecating “I’d probably forget to return him in four years, my memory’s not as sharp as it once was” and say “besides, it gives me an excuse to visit your wonderful country.”}
Shee... you’d think that “being friendly” to these diplomats/dignitaries was hard... (just be open, honest, and genuine... it works with “regular people”, right?)
