Statement from SarahPAC on Governor Palin's selection of Judge Christen
SarahPAC Facebook ^ | March 7, 2009 | SarahPAC - Bob Flint

Gov. Palin is totally pro-life. Always has been. Always will be. She believes in a culture of life from cradle to grave. Her choice for Supreme Court judge was made in accordance with Alaska law. She chose the person most qualified from the names sent to her. The Governor's choice has a record of fairness. That is important as the courts sort out some very thorny issues. Governor Palin's choices were either a liberal or an independent. She went with the independent. And as the following article reflects - this selection process is flawed.

........................

Process of selecting Alaska's judges is clearly flawed

By Bob Flint Catholic Anchor Online

Alaska courts have a long history of removing contentious social and cultural issues from the democratic process. Court rulings have forced private hospitals to perform abortions, ordered gay marriage and benefits, required taxpayer funded abortions and interfered with parents' rights to be involved in the abortion decisions of their minor child.

These court rulings involve the creation of new and novel legal doctrines untethered to our Constitutional history, intent, or even language. The decisions of the public and their elected representatives are ignored, not to mention the rights of individuals to parent their children or perform services or charity without being forced into immoral and abhorrent practices.

The Alaska courts have consistently struck at such basic moral rights as life, family, marriage and conscience, undermining in the process the essential pillars on which society is based.

Mitt Romney? You mean the guy who attended a Planned Parenthood fundraiser? Hypocrisy much? Mitt, the gun-grabbing, gay-supporting, “superior healtcare plan” Romney? Take your Mitt elsewhere.

Speaking of Romney’s “responsible” sons... how many of the have served, and more importantly, why does Mitt think that their campaign work equates military service?

Again you are lying. Donna, I fear your a pathological liar... you just can't help it.

Sarah Palin just proved that it is true that: “It’s all about Feminism and the glass ceiling. A little thing like working for the baby killing machine Planned Parenthood - no problem.”

Not a single word here is true.

Maybe you think it is okay to appoint a rabid baby killer to the state Supreme Court - but it’s not.

Namecalling and lying again... weak donna, very weak.

Aren't you ashamed of yourself? You do know that what you say isn't true, don't you?

On the Katie Couric interview she talks about her pro-life position, and Roe vs. Wade.

SarahPAC is supposedly a means to help conservative House and Senate candidates in 2010 but I just can’t see Sarah being so altruistic that she doesn’t make use of the funds herself as well.

Understanding that you mean no harm I'd still like to clarify this.
Governor Palin, from the pac's inception, has stated that some of the money would be used for travel expenses incurred while she was on unofficial state business, i.e., speeches, endorsement of candidates, etc., (quite altruistic of her I'd say).
Also, one can learn at SarahPac --- How will contributions be spent?

Some people just don’t have a problem with that ‘bearing false witness’ thing.. they must keep their priest very busy in confession.

I'm LDS, have respect for Romney and understand the qunadries he was put in in MA, and believe overall he did a very good job there given what he had to work with.

I also am well aware of some of his earlier positions and the changes he made and the reasons he gave for making them. While I respect those changes, I also want to see some more experience under his belt defending them...which I honestly believe he will do.

His knoweldge of the free market and the economy is second to none, and his defense of the principles that should be guiding our free market economy are spot on...as opposed to the marxism and command economy we are getting under the Obamanation.

But, you are dead wrong about Sarah Palin. She is not a one time wonder. She has the ability to rally conservatives and I believe she will do so, and do so effectively, and I thank God for it..

Rather than attack either one, let's pray that they come together and present a unified and very strong front to the electorate and themselves quash this bickering and tinkling contests between their supporters.

Ok, I am stepping in here now. You are calling Sarah Palin a baby killer? You are insane. Post the proof if you have it. Otherwise, take your hysterical rants somewhere else.

Sarah Palin doesn’t personally kill babies. She empowers others to do it:

“It is an honor to call her a sister. . . America, this is what a feminist looks like, Governor Sarah Palin”
-Shelly Mandell, president of the National Organization for Women’s Los Angeles chapter introducing Sarah Palin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao0itsSFYqE

“Wow, and thank you too Shelly for that kind introduction, and thank you so much for your endorsement, and with your help, Shelly, in November, all of us, who consider ourselves progressive, yet at the same time we can be conservative, we’re gonna shatter the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America.

I was looking at Shelly’s resume before I came out here and I thought ‘Woo, there’s some diversity! I like this, it’s good.’ And, because, maybe this is the only time that I would get an endorsement like this, or an introduction, I’ve gotta share with you, it’s like kinda providential, yesterday what happened to me, I can use this today after that introduction from Shelly, I’m readin’ on my Starbuck’s mocha cup, okay, the quote of the day? You’ll never believe what the quote was. It was Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State, and U.N. Ambassador. And Madeleine has as her quote of the day for Starbuck’s — now she said it, I didn’t — she said, ‘There’s a place in hell for women who don’t support other women.’

Okay, now thank you so much for receiving that well. I did’t know how that was gonna go over. And now, California, let’s see, what a comment like I just made, how that is turned into whatever it’ll be turned into tomorrow in the newspaper.”

(According to CBS News’ Scott Conroy, Palin got the quote slightly wrong. Albright actually said, “There is a place in hell reserved for women who don’t help other women.”)

The fact that you use an endorsement by a NOW chapter President only exposes you as being incredible narrow-minded. You can hold on to your extremely skewed (and wrong) opinion of Sarah Palin. But consider also that if you expect only those who are pro-life to endorse a conservative candidate, etc., you are living in a world that does not exist.
