Here's the Government's view of it:
Nonfarm payroll employment continued to fall sharply in February (-651,000), and the unemployment rate rose from 7.6 to 8.1 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Payroll employment has declined by 2.6 million in the past 4 months. In February, job losses were large and widespread across nearly all major industry sectors.

Agreed. The height of the Chi-com “free trade” crapola happened for me at a Fourth of July parade in my hometown. A Boy Scout troop was walking past, handing out little American flags with “Made in China” printed in large letters in, oddly enough, commie red right on the flag.
Yep-we really need to bring back manufacturing...we even have a trade deficit with England...they have almost no manufacturing. We are ruining this country by free trade especially with China. Marx believed in free trade and not because he thought it strengthened capitalism either!
Why do you pester me with inane comments? If you think China acting aggressively towards an American ship using weapons bought with American money no doubt is good economic policy then you need to take a class on economics for sure. However, I prefer to teach Chemistry and Calculus so find another teacher.

China is a danger, but so would be a less advanced China. Imagine 1 billion very hungry Chinese with not enough women to go around.
We now have a China that is now behaving more capitalistic than the USA. That might be a good thing. Setting an example for the world on economics.
You know that they don’t have any form of capital gains tax in China?
Let’s continue to pay people not to work and be amazed when the unemployment rate continues to rise.
