Re 48 and 51, hold off on the charge on Minnery’s association.. I am finding a couple of references that this Alaska Pride site is using his name and statements without his permission.
Is there a litmus test going to be given to every supporter of Sarah Palin based on the length of time they have supported her? As far as I’m concerned if millions convert to Sarah’s side the day before the next Presidential election in 2012 they will be as good as me and you and those who have supported Sarah for many years.
One’s devotion to Sarah and a lengthy loyalty to Sarah is not mutually exclusive.
supporting her while calling her vote somehow against her base isn’t the kind of support any politician needs
Do you not find it interesting that this so called pro-life group was promoting the more liberal, more pro-abortion candidate? Why do you think they did that? Why do you think they failed to point out, as what was found above that Christen was on the board of this group before they where an abortion providing group, thus it is not clear she is pro-choice? Why do you think they would make these statements given that? Do you think other issues may be at play?
From what I’ve read the one selected had been on the board of Planned Parenthood way back in the 1990’s before Planned Parenthood had started performing abortions in Alaska. On an earlier thread about this story someone posted a picture of Smith, he looks like someone who should be standing on a corner asking for spare change, beard, longish hair, and wire rim glasses, an aging hippie. Palin’s political instincts are good, so I’d trust her on this selection.
She has another hard choice coming up, having to select a replacement for the Troopergate guy who is now in the 0bama administration. She only gets to chose a democrat in this case.
I just hope the millions of pro-life supporters of Sarah in the Lower 48 are just as tolerant as the posters on this thread.
Exactly. This is what we call a concern troll.
Christen and Smith.
There are many pro-life environmentalists.
I am one.
Difference in being a environmentalist and being a ‘rabid environmentalist’.. this guy Smith is a radical Greenpeace type, far to the left of most San Fran crowd.
The point of having Sarah Palin run in 2012 is to have a pro-life President who will appoint Supreme Court Justices who oppose Roe vs. Wade enough to overturn it.
If the judge that Sarah just appointed is in favor of abortion continuing to be legal, than I will be very disappointed in Sarah.
Keep reading the thread, there is something fishy going on.. The organization the judge was on the board of was not an abortion providing firm when she was on the board. Also, the 'pro life' group that sent this memo out was supporting her opponent who was a bigger pro-abortion candidate than her and very far to the left on most issues. There is also something very fishy with this so called pro-life group that is sending this information out. I don't believe they are who they say they are. I had posted a thread but asked it be removed until I get more info, but let's just say, if you scratch the surface, things are very ugly.
If you find evidence that the judge just appointed by Sarah Palin is actually pro-life after all, by all means, please post that info to me.
So far all I’ve found for certain is that her being ‘pro-choice’ is in doubt. There was one note above in an article stating she was pro-life on everything but birth control.. that could be translated into a lot of things, from being for Ru486 to the very strict Catholic translation.
If this woman is pro-abortion then both of Gov. Palin's choices were pro-abortion, and since the Alaska courts have no say in overturning Roe v. Wade, I'm not disappointed. She made the best choice she could.
Gov. Palin has said more than once that she favors overturning Roe. v. Wade.
The relevant question is this:
If she appointed a pro-abortion judge as Governor, would she appoint pro-abortion judges as President?
The President doesn’t have the same rule to choose from options given by the State bar, she had two choices, she chose the least leftward of the two (who I still haven’t seen anything to really say she is pro-choice, only a very lose connection by a questionable group.)
I accept that Alaska has a screwed up system for appointing judges, but I still want to hear a flat out statement from Sarah Palin that she feels appointees to the United States Supreme Court must recognize that Roe vs. Wade is unconstitutional and be willing to overturn it.
This is nothing but a well designed execution of part of Alinsky’s plan to use your opponents creed against them.
Be ready for more the same to breed discontent and divide Palin’s support.
She is walking in a perpetual, electoral minefield simply by exercising effective government for the state of Alaska.
Take these words to heart . . .
———— dare to cheat, dare to win ————
. . . this is the one constant you can count on from the marxist opposition.
