Here is video of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani talking with CNN's John Roberts on American Morning about Rush Limbaugh. Giuliani said that Rush is a good personal friend of his, but that Rush is not the leader of the Republican Party. Giuliani said Rush has one of the most influential voices in the party with a huge listening audience. Giuliani said he hopes President Obama succeeds in every respect, although he does not believe the course Obama is taking will succeed. . . . . (Watch Video)

He obviously doesn’t have any plans on seeking the Republican nomination.

Rudy’s “run” at the Republican nomination was so anemic it made me wonder if his book “Leadership” had been ghost-written.

Giuliani Says Rush Limbaugh Does Not Lead the Republican Party; Hopes Obama Succeeds Thank you for that outsider's opinion, Rudy. Now shut and go home.

Nothing too objectionable in the clip.
The question of whether you hope he succeeds or fails is stupid, and either answer can be attacked on semantics. Obviously no one wants him to “fail” with respect to the economy, for instance, if that means our economy slides further into recession, but at the same time conservatives don’t want him to succeed in moving us toward socialism. It’s hard to convey this in one-sentence answers during interviews, and is just an excuse to attack Republicans.

Open borders Rudy! The only thing he did in NY was help clean up some crime.

I now wouldn’t be suprised. I read “Leadership” when it first came out and thought it was terrific. Too bad, he’s morphed into someone other than who was in that book.

Hey Argendo,
Why would you want a man who is practicing out-and-out socialism in his policies, who is killing the free market approach in America, who is moving pro-abortion policies forward, who is going to get Amnesty (probably), who is increasing your taxes, who is planning to come after your guns(if you have any) to succeed at anything?
Furthermore,
Why would you want him to succeed at fixing the economy if he is instituting socialism to "fix" it?
Tell me which of his policies you want to succeed?

Isn’t Rudy’s 15 minutes of fame and debauchery over?
He’s already been unmasked as a phony whose own family avoids him.....

Hasn't Limbaugh said over and over he is not the leader of the Republican Party but the leader of conservative thought/movement? Rudy is ......... it is interesting that Rush is friends with liberal Republicans and they turn on him in a moment if it suits their political ambitions.
