Quick. Break out the smelling salts. Were feeling a little weak in the knees. The New York Times has admitted that Barack Obama isnt who they thought he was.
But the Obama budget is more than just the sum of its parts. There is, entailed in it, a promiscuous unwillingness to set priorities and accept trade-offs. There is evidence of a party swept up in its own revolutionary fervor caught up in the self-flattering belief that history has called upon it to solve all problems at once.
Those of us who consider ourselves moderates moderate-conservative, in my case are forced to confront the reality that Barack Obama is not who we thought he was. His words are responsible; his character is inspiring. But his actions betray a transformational liberalism that should put every centrist on notice.

And the New York Times is more than one of its constituent parts. Jeez—a David Brooks column is not the opinion of the New York Times!
Your title is misleading. This is not the NYT saying this. It is an Op-Ed from David Brooks, which has been posted a number of times in the last few days. This is old news.

Who wrote this? Is it an editorial? Doesn’t seem like it. Must be a column.
However, I will agree readily that Mr. Obama is a socialist - and proud of it.
I don’t think he could balance a check book.
Or find water if he fell out of a boat.
The Times treated him like he was a thoroghbred and it turns out, in his own words, he’s a mutt...
Laid to rest once and for all.
Barry the Zero is exactly what we conservatives and libertarians thought he was.
Well, perhaps they could look into his background a little...
Seems to be a lot of that going around. My local paper has been less than thrilled with our shiny new democrat congressman.
His most notable achievement since taking office is receiving a record setting fine for campaign finance violations.
DBM “don’t ask don’t tell.”
Don’t bogart the joint, maaaaaaaan ...
That nails it! And now everyone from Liberal Cramer to Conservative Rush knows it.
Spread the word while you still can!
Obama voters = Fools. Either too stupid to know better, or too willingly ignorant to look at the facts.
The difference between bad attitude and divine insight is 6 months.. I am really tired of living my life 6 months ahead of the curve.
