Obama, Rush and the Constitution

The POTUS' oath of office is: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

With the above in mind and with the speech of Rush Limbaugh so recent I want to ask 10 relevant questions that I believe go to the heart of why millions must dedicate themselves tirelessly to win back Congress in 2010 and the Presidency in 2012.

NB: If you are not familiar with the Constitution just go online and read it to see what I am referring to.

1)Do you really believe that Obama intends to, based on his pronouncements and his current sentiments 'secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity'? (Preamble)

What evidence is there that he plans NOT to do so?

2)Do you believe that Obama will promote the general WELFARE to ourselves and our posterity? (Preamble)

NB: at the time the Constitution was written welfare meant health, happiness, prosperity or well-being; it did NOT mean organized efforts on the part of the public or private organziations to benefit the poor, or simply public assistance

Is generational theft.'spreading the wealth', or seeing the stock market go in the tank defending the Constitution?

3)Did Rush Limbaugh capture the spirit of the Preamble by saying, "I want everyone to succeed...or 'we want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be."

Is this what Michael Steele was referring to when he called Rush 'incendiary and ugly'? And does Obama want everyone to succeed?

4)In advocating for the return of the Fairness Doctrine(or the back door version of it)is Obama protecting or defending the first amendment and the right of Rush Limbaugh to not to have 'abridged the freedom of speech' 'with the best of his ability'? (1st Amendment)

If you say no, then has he broken his oath of office?

5)By advocating laws that regulate private gun ownership, restrictions on the sale of ammunition or mandating liability insurance for private gun owners is Obama actually 'infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms'? (2nd Amendment)

6)In creating a mechanism in the stimulus bill to allow state legislatures to override the power of the governor of a state to decide how much stimulus money to take 'defending the 10th Amendment'?

7)Is Rush Limbaugh correct when he asserted, "All politicians are temporary stewards of this nation. It is not their task to remake the founding of this country. It is not their task to tear it apart and rebuild it in their image. It is not their task, it is not their right to remake this nation to accommodate their psychology."

Does Obama and the Democrats intend through various means to make their stewardship PERMANENT and to reshape or dismantle the Constitution to suit their own purposes and is Obama fulfilling his oath of office if he advocates this without going through the proper amendment procedure? And is it further incumbent on the POTUS to recognize that because 'the people of the United States ordained and established this Constitution' that no one man has the right to discard it as a basis of governance?

8)Is the advocacy by Obama of the 'Nanny State' to regulate or control individual decisions preserving the Preamble of the Constitution?

9)Where in the Constitution does it give the right for the POTUS and Congress to take taxpayer money and bail out homeowners who cannot pay their mortgages? Is this what they call 'promoting the general welfare' and 'establishing justice' to ourselves and our posterity' by penalizing the producers in favor of non-producers? (Preamble)

10)In pledging to defend the Constitution is it also implied that the POTUS must also abide by the Declaration of the Independence and is this reflected in the 9th Amendment-- 'shall not be construed to deny or disparage others (rights) retained by the people'?

I do solemnly swear that I will unfaithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, change, alter, and omit the Constitution of the United States.”
