From The Recorder (Central Connecticut State University):
On October 3, 2008, [John] Wahlberg and two other classmates prepared to give an oral presentation for a Communication 140 class that was required to discuss a relevant issue in the media. Wahlberg and his group chose to discuss school violence due to recent events such as the Virginia Tech shootings that occurred in 2007.
Shortly after his professor, Paula Anderson, filed a complaint with the CCSU Police against her student. During the presentation Wahlberg made the point that if students were permitted to conceal carry guns on campus, the violence could have been stopped earlier in many of these cases. He also touched on the controversial idea of free gun zones on college campuses.
That night at work, Wahlberg received a message stating that the campus police requested his presence. Upon entering the police station, the officers began to list off firearms that were registered under his name, and questioned him about where he kept them.
They told Wahlberg that they had received a complaint from his professor that his presentation was making students feel scared and uncomfortable....
Professor Anderson refused to comment directly on the situation and deferred further comment.
It is also my responsibility as a teacher to protect the well being of our students, and the campus community at all times, she wrote in a statement submitted to The Recorder. As such, when deemed necessary because of any perceived risks, I seek guidance and consultation from the Chair of my Department, the Dean and any relevant University officials. ...

I always marvel at the verbosity of the cowardly and misguided.
the professor is just doing her part as the Obama civil defense corps’ gauleiter
When Obama starts his Eye of Sauron Security Committees, he won't even have to offer any incentives. Teachers and University professors will be standing in line to volunteer.
Years ago a man walked onto a local elementary school at attempted to grab a little girl. After that I asked my ex-wife, who worked at another local school, why they didn't have armed officers at the schools.
She said: "The sight of police with guns might make the kids feel that they're not in a safe environment."
So, they want the kids to FEEL safe, not actually BE safe. Unbelievable.

Professorial Entrapment?!?
If he didn't do the assignment (that had no restrictions) he would have failed.
I bet he failed her class anyway.
If Paula would’ve armed herself she would’ve felt safer from the iminent threat. /sarcasm
Clear and present danger to mindless receptacles attending to her class, listening to her bias.
Liberal fascists infest our education system from top to bottom!
A neighbor was complaining to me that the police officer who spends his days in our local grammar school actually wore a firearm.
She must have been whining about it to her husband because a couple of days later I saw her little boys out front playing with toy guns.
Oh I had the biggest smirk on my face.
I wonder if this intellectual giant of a professor is related to the ones that got a case of the vapors when it was mentioned by a university president that men and women might have differences. The left-wing female professorate is the most delusional, neurotic and downright dense segment of society. They go through life deathly afraid of exposure as the academic frauds they know they are.

Closely followed by liberal citizens who disagree with anyone with a conservative viewpoint.
Perhaps he should file charges agains the professor and they should do a background check of her.
I'm sure there is something embarrassing or uncomfortable in her private life. Maybe then she would mind her own business.
He should sue this woman. And I am not advocating for any law firm or propping up that system, but seriously.
This absolutely BEGS for the kid to file a discrimination lawsuit against this whack job “teacher” and the rent-a-cops on campus.
Good gravy...horror movies do that every damned day. Are they going to ban horror movies?
I now know to always walk away from people who use this word in a sentence! Liberalism is a mental disease, and talking with liberals is a waste of time!
“his presentation was making students feel scared and uncomfortable.
The intolerance of professor is grounds for a complaint. She’s not a dictator enforcing speech codes. She should fired.
ping
This is the second time I’ve seen this story, and neither version mentions anything beyond the campus security department’s routine follow-up to the professor’s complaint, of asking the student what happened (presumably something the campus police are required to do in response to any formal report or complaint they receive from anyone affiliated with the school, no matter how idiotic it may appear on its face). In all likelihood, the matter ended there, with campus police snickering at the professor’s idiocy, and sending a routine copy of their report on the “incident” and follow-up to some administrative office, where further snickering ensued.
Democrats make me feel scared and uncomfortable. They should be banned.
