Here is video of Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele talking with CNN's D.L. Hughley last night, and calling comments made by Rush Limbaugh during his speech to CPAC "incendiary and ugly." Steele said Limbaugh is not the de facto leader of the Republican Party, and that he is an "entertainter."
This is exactly the point Rush Limbaugh was trying to make in his speech. Republicans need to stop worrying about what the D.L. Hughley's think! They will never like conservatives or Republicans, because they are liberals! Steele should not have disavowed, in effect, what Rush said. He should have hammered home the core principles set forth by Limbaugh in his speech. . . . . (Watch Video)

It is disturbing. Guess it is better to know very early on what Michael Steele is really all about than to find out too late in the game.
There was nothing ugly about what Rush said. I listened to the whole thing. It was inspiring. Heartfelt. The guy is obviously concerned about what is happening to America.
I guess I know what my response is going to be to any of Steele’s RNC fundraising letters. Thanks for at least letting me know what side you’re on Steele. Thanks for saving me my money. Guess where it’ll go if I even bother to donate to a PAC. Not any RNC PAC that is for DAMN sure. CPAC would be the only place I can think of.
How can anyone argue they aren’t putting a guy down when they say what he said was incendiary (inflammatory, fire-starting words) and ugly?
As Rush says, “Words mean things.”
That is the opposite of praise. It is rejection. Steele was clearly indicating he does not support what Rush said. Plain as day. You know it deep down anyway, just admit it.
well Steele has now entered the momeny pariah list.
Is he really THIS COLLOSSALLY STUPID? Steele is pushing money and volunteers away by design. He is going all john mccain looking for phantom pumas.
If steele wants to help republicans, he should resign now before he does more damage.
Recall Steele for a better man.
>>He should have played to the audience, and not to you and me.<<
He did. I just got finished watching that speech at CPAC. He was talking to the audience there or he wouldn’t have gotten the standing Os he did.
It may have been televised but he was talking to those in the room.
I didn’t hear Rush carrying water for Bush. The immigration issue, the medicare expansion, the failure to ever veto anything, Rush was very vocal about all that and more.
Alright, to all you “nervous” Nellie’s, now hear this, grow a pair or pull up your skirts and go home
What do they expect when they nominate a liberal RINO to head the RNC?
This is laughable, and pathetic!
I'm right behind you! I was waiting to see where Michael Steele went. My transfer papers are being sent in tomorrow!
LOL, second rate comedians with "news" shows.
D(lusional) L(iberal) Hugh-and-Seris-ley, Joh "Martha" Stewart and S. CoBAREbrained.
I am not sure by what you mean, “Stop making excuses.” His name is Steele. He should have acted like he had some steel in his fortitude. He wussed out in that conversation with Hughely.
ADHD is different than ADD - I am sure your Doctor told you that!
Steele was probably just mad at Rush for playing ‘The Magic Negro’ song every day for a year.
Rush is a dirt bag and a phony conservative.
If he wants to act like a black identity politics guy so he can K.A. to a leftist dude on the MSM, then it means he’s a capon RINO. The RNC wants money? Not from me.
Actually add is no longer called add, it is called ADHD and they are the same thing. I was diagnosed at 6 years old and struggled through years of hard educational times, but with a good mom and dad who helped me through it all I went on to graduate from college. I’m now a stay at home mom with a great husband and two boys , and I still have ADHD. It just means I have to work harder at things, but it doesn’t mean I’m stupid and can’t retain everything rush says when I listen. And I have never taken medicine for my ADHD!
I guess we know who Rush was talking about when he mentioned the factions within the conservative movment that want to reach across the isle. I recieved a mailing from the republican party asking me to join and make a donation, I just threw it in the garbage. STEEL is wrong, we need reps that excite and inspire, I was wrong about steele.
The only core principles they have are “the end justifies the means”, and, “don’t get caught”.
go home? you been here four or five weeks and already making a statement like this? you have a very dim future.
Hope someone is paying attention.
Roger that.
Can you say Powell 2000 or Condi ‘08 ?
Wake up people....but i’m figuring it’s way too late for that....not with the next generation coming in.
