Here is video of Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele talking with CNN's D.L. Hughley last night, and calling comments made by Rush Limbaugh during his speech to CPAC "incendiary and ugly." Steele said Limbaugh is not the de facto leader of the Republican Party, and that he is an "entertainter."
This is exactly the point Rush Limbaugh was trying to make in his speech. Republicans need to stop worrying about what the D.L. Hughley's think! They will never like conservatives or Republicans, because they are liberals! Steele should not have disavowed, in effect, what Rush said. He should have hammered home the core principles set forth by Limbaugh in his speech. . . . . (Watch Video)

Actually, Steele did use the words, but he used them separately while being interrupted and talked over.
So what if the Rush is “incendiary?” So what if some of what he says is “ugly?”
Someone needs to light a fire under the Republican Party and tell the world the ugly truth. It’s a shame Steele gave these people the opportunity to embarrass him and that Steel didn’t shout them down and say my second sentence above.
I disagree! As the leader of the Republican party - there should not be one way to speak to a black audience & another way to speak to a white audience.
Isn't the idea to elect Republicans to defeat the ideas of Obama & the RATS, instead of agreeing with them?
Ditto! Rush did an excellent job of putting forth the conservative point of view, explaining victim mentality, and the damage the entitlement programs have done to minorities.
How could ANYONE have found fault with any aspect of his speech. Apparently Michael Steele is NOT the guy to lead the GOP out of this ditch it is in.

What’s wrong with “incendiary”? Steele didn’t say it is wrong to be incendiary. The problem is that *Steele* wasn’t incendiary.

The "entertainer" moniker is a weak and feeble attempt to do to Rush what the "b-actor" label was meant to do to Reagan: distract from his real position and his ideas.

Looks like Steele is becoming a real genius—at discouraging contributions to the RNC.
Just watched the video. Steele made a mistake by trying to marginalize Rush. Like Jindal he will rebound. But please Michael, don’t make any more mistakes like this!

The beltway types---and that includes pols like Steele whose very livelihood depends on the Washington/NY Axis---have completely been co-opted by the left.
At the time, some people considered the American Revolution “Incendiary and Ugly,” too.
