At one time, Millsaps - a Methodist affiliated private college, was highly regarded. Now, with guys like this, who knows?
We’ll all be socialist slaves if we let Obama have his way.
Are you a MORON? South of us SOUTHERNERS came to the South to escape LIBERAL BS from the NORTHERNERS!!
The South will rise again -- just like the first time -- it is for STATES' RIGHTS!!
What Mr. Tubby doesn’t mention is that the slave holders were democrats. After they were chased out of the south, they re-established their slave-holding plantations in places like Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, etc.
There is no place more segregated and racist than Northern states, now ruled by the descendants of former slave holders who were kicked out of the south. The Jim Crow segregationists found friendly environs in Woodrow Wilson’s (D-KKK) segregated Washington DC to continue their racist, slave-holding policies.
These purse-swinging, bed-wetting metrosexual democrat slavers will find more than they can handle if they dare come south.
I almost confused this guy with famous early net.kook Robert E. McElwaine. I may owe McElwaine an apology.
Prof. McElvaine needs to explain why Lincoln supported the Corwin Amendment, which would have guaranteed slave rights to the south.
Come to think of it, Lincoln and Obama are a lot alike.
How much longer you reckon they’ll let this LIEberal a$$hole bigot keep on teaching at Millsaps?
If the South was 10% as racist as he purports it to be, this carpetbagger would be swinging from a rope.
I think an interesting statistic that Professor McElvaine should consider is the racial breakdown of white versus black voters in each State’s DNC primary. http://www.jewcy.com/post/how_hillary_clinton_finally_got_knocked_out_pt_2
There are times when I would like to just slap the people that make these kind of remarks. I would be willing to be that the good professor is from up north somewhere. The people that are spouting off about racism seem to be largely in the African-American community and it is mostly against themselves.
I am fed up with the race card always being thrown in my face and so are a lot of southerners who have to deal with preconceived notions about the south. I would like to see these people come out of the 18th and 19th centuries and step into the 21st.
McElvaine is also a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post.
