Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced this week that hes toying with the idea of organizing a "womens summit" to find out why more women dont appreciate his patented point of view.
Limbaugh, who ruffled feathers recently when he said he hopes President Obama fails, was spurred by a Public Policy poll showing that only 37 percent of women compared to 56 percent of men have a favorable opinion of the shock jock. Thus, Limbaughs looking to close the gender gap.
Well have a summit of all the women in this audience or as many of them as we can get into breakout groups and perhaps devote an hour in an upcoming program to calls only from women who genuinely want to talk to me But I want some of these women to start telling me what it is I must do to close the gender gap or, if not, what it is I must do to close the gender gap, what it is Ive done that has caused the gender gap; assuming the gender gap is true and that the poll is true.
I own the men, and what must I do now to own women?
Well, Limbaugh, perhaps you could start wooing more women if you recant your oft-cited quote: "Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society."

...and I’m with you on both points. Woman’s suffrage is an amendment past the first ten and I’m sticking with the first ten. The founders knew what they were doing. Women have eighteen or more years to influence the voting outcome of their husbands and offspring. How much more influence do they want.
Rhetorical question not designed to produce actual response. The above comments are not meant to cast women able to think and process critical information without the influence of a rush (no pun intended) of hormonal activity in any light other than that reserved for multi-tasking super moms able to leap tall building in a single bound.
I know those would be willing to sacrifice their vote to remove the seven eights of women who do not meet the standard the founders implied IMHO as necessary in those voting in this country. Anyone look at Nancy the other night during the President’s speech and not want to... Remaining comments self censored.
Fire proof underwear, carbon fiber/titanium armor, and anti anger electron monitor in place.
You can study the issue yourself. Women tend towards voting rat..that’s a fact. And the reason they do is because the rats promise a ‘safety net’.
Study up and get back to me.
It’s not a theory, it’s just a fact. More women vote liberal than conservative and studies have shown it is because they identify the rat platform as being more in tune with their own self interest.
That’s why rats always promise women the moon.
I was replying to a prior poster who stated that he didn’t believe Rush still took the drug. My point was that the proclivity for addictive, self-centered behavior still exists in an addict or alcoholic for life. That’s why addicts and alcoholics should abstain from all mind-altering substances, not just the one they happened to have been addicted to.
In addition, life-long adherence to a 12-step or other recovery program is essential to maintain abstinence and control the character defects and disordered thinking which are present in addictive disorders.
Absolutely no disdain or disrespect meant. Just stating the facts.
RE: “Im a woman who listens to Rush at work every day. I frequently say Thank God for Rush!”

I’m another woman who listens to Rush whenever I can. When I first listened to bits and pieces, I was unimpressed, even put off at times. Now that I’m home most of the time (retired) I realize what a great entertainer Rush is, as well as being right on target on the issues almost all the time.
I agree — Thank God for Rush! I look forward to his show every day.
The key determinant of women’s political affiliation is their attitude towards marriage. Married women who reject divorce in principle are staunch Republicans. Other women who worry about being stuck with a child to raise seek surrogate father-figure protection from the government.
“My wife and mother however, both listen to Rush”.
So do I. Good for them.
no, actually, married mother of 3
