Ronald Reagan once said, '"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'
And America Still agrees with him. According to the latest Rasmussen Survey, almost sixty percent of American voters feel that government is the PROBLEM not the solution. Most voters believe that no matter how bad things are, Congress could always make them worse (see the Stimulus bill).

now we just need some politicians to say it and we are back in business.
That’s great. Except 60% of them love Obama. Morons.
WHAT THE HELL DID THESE IDIOTS THINK THEY WERE VOTING FOR?????
contrary to some belief, the left is NOT defined by big government.
big government is just their tool of choice to control. If they could do it with a small band of armed people, they would.
Ping.
Government is the solution to the Democrats’ problem - of getting re-elected.
Unfortunately, that’s why they are called idiots.
Exactly. So this is a suicide pact.
where were these folks back in november 08?
It would have been a much more intersting poll if they had played the word game and asked people to fill in the blank.
I’m from the government and I’m here to ______ you.
Middle-income voters are more likely to agree with Reagan than those who earn less than $20,000 or more than $100,000.
There it is. Reagan made the GOP the party of the Middle Class, and that is what was lost. Start talking to the Middle Class again, there values and there concerns, and the comeback will begin.
Did it matter? Did government shrink under Republican control? Didn't Romney, a Republican presidential candidate say at a presidential debate that he liked mandates, that [government] mandates work?
Ping to the Republican party to perhaps recall what a smaller government, fiscal conservative is, as the never ending chains of big government Republicans gives the electorate no choice - we're doomed no matter who wins, for the only end result will be an ever increasing government.
As soon as Obama becomes synonymous with government, he is toast
Will there even be a Middle Class?
Every Dem Politician is repeating OVER AND OVER the idea that the guy who is paying his mortgage on time gets the advantage of having their home retain its value by not letting the other houses on his street go into foreclosure.
AND SCHUMER AND DODD KEEP SAYING THAT THIS IDEA SHOULD BE MADE MORE AND MORE!
You agree with my point - it’s a tool of control. Define them by the use of that tool if you must.
My point is a lot of people think “the left believes in big government”. That’s only the misinformed plebs on the ground. Primary leftoids realize it’s merely a method of control
Senator Warner is now saying the Congress needs to make sure that the law that a person can ask for his original loan documents be “looked at”. They want to make sure that the mortgage companies don’t need to do this before foreclosing.
