I had a feeling this would start. Next it will be a jump to taking “any” vacant home. Then, in time as this spreads- to taking homes occupied by rich white people who need to give it up to da man.
Correction: "They're OUR homes now" Right on!!

Document drop: The truth about ACORNs foreclosure poster child

Joe Cox, a community organizer for ACORN in Baltimore, said Mondays arrest was not a surprise.
We definitely expected some kind of a response, Cox said. We understand people have to do their jobs and we hope that they understand that were doing this to highlight the issue.
Cox said he expects homesteading refusing to vacate a foreclosed property will become common as blame for the foreclosure crisis increasingly shifts from homeowners to financial corporations.
I see homesteading as this:
Currently the term homesteading[1] applies to anyone who is a limb of the back-to-the-land movement and who chooses to live a sustainable, self-sufficient lifestyle. While land is no longer freely available in most areas of the world, homesteading remains as a way of life. A new movement, called urban homesteading, can be viewed as a simple living lifestyle, incorporating small-scale agriculture, sustainable and permaculture gardening, and home food production and storage into suburban or city living.
WTH?
It is not homesteading!
Its burglary!
