I remember a cousin who had both the Farrah poster and a Loni Anderson poster.

Although I was the correct age to be a fan, I was hung up on the old Elvgren posters for pinups.

All the guys who read Playboy were hung up on Vargas, but I thought Elvgren was much better.

I’ve had a theory for years that Bern Nadette Stanis (Thelma from Good Times) would also have had a huge, iconic poster in that era, IF the suits weren’t gun-shy about heavily promoting a black woman as a mainstream sex symbol in that time.
Had she come along only a decade later, I bet it would have happened.
A very beautiful woman.
I tend to not give much credibility to people who find evidence if racism around every corner, but I do think there are legit examples of bigotry/racism holding back talent in the entertainment business, sometimes.

That poster is only about 30 years old. You would think she would have sued about ownership of the photo's copyright long, long ago.

Not me. My uncle(s) had one in each of their rooms though (cough).

There wasn't a mens dorm room in the mid 1970s without that poster on half of the walls.

I have to admit, I never had the hots for Farrah Fawcett. I always thought she was way over rated and I hated her puffy blown out hair styles.

There’s a lady at work, who’s probably in her 50s, with ‘Farrah Fawcett Hair’. I bet she’s had it that way for 30 years.

I won that poster at the San Fernando Valley Fair when I was about 10. Only time I won that dart-balloon game. I’m surprised my mom let me put it on my wall. Thanks, dad. LOL
