My 12 YO daughter says Miley’s already played, only the “younger” kids like her now (boy howdy, that was fast!). But I saw a clip of her win some award awhile back and the first one she thanked was her “Lord and savior, Jesus Christ”, so she ain’t all bad, ya’ know!

My daughter was telling me a couple of hours ago (actually, she told her mother, but I was in the room — life as a Dad) about the dress. She couldn’t describe how bad it was.

Leave the kids alone. We have bigger fish to fry.

I think the dress looks more like scalloped oyster shells rather than an artichoke.

I think the dress is pretty. I was expecting a Bjork style atrocity, with green satin petals or something. This is quite elegant and different. Appropriate for her age.
Better she should have been half naked??

And who really cares?
BTW, although it’s obviously over the top, I’ve seen a lot worse.

I think she looks very nice.

If it didn’t have the gray trim it would be better, but it’s a quite elegant antique-style looking gown. Sort of Gone with the Wind-ish.

Notice how it’s always the women that get trashed for Oscar attire. Men occasionally but the women are always taking a big risk of getting their legs cut off in the fashion press. Would an Equal Rights Amendment solve that?

Once it was understood that a good looking woman needed little adornment to accentuate her. But then, once we had our heads out of our asses.

Don’t be ridiculous. That dress is obviously meant to be a Christmas tree. ;)
