Why Left and Right Must Unite
American Daily Review ^ | 02/20/2009 | Mark L. Harvey

Posted on 02/20/2009 6:58:25 PM PST by ADReditor

The title of this article is most assuredly not what one would think it to mean. It is a title intended to get people interested that would not normally frequent a “conservative” news outlet or a “conservative” source of political thought. Be that as it may, the article is a repost of my article from another location originally written in November of 2007. So, without further ado and after reading Tony Magana’s article here at American Daily Review (“Strong Evidence President Obama Moving Towards Socialism”) which, inspired the reposting of this coming piece, read on. The article is as appropriate today than it was in 2007.

Would the left and right uniting be a good cause? Could this reunion be beneficial to the American way of life? The answers, obviously, would be an emphatic and resounding, “HELL YES!” The next question would be, is it possible? The answer to that question is “Rather” esoteric, don’t you think?

If the left abandons all of it’s nuttery then yes, we can unite.

Of course they wouldn’t be leftists if they did that.

“Should the left and the right put partisanship behind them and UNTIE the country?”

I’m ready to “untie” the country. Many states are filing for that very right as I type...

I think your typo speaks volumes as to where your heart actually lies.

Socialism is unacceptable...and that’s what the Left wants. Not happening on my watch. Or over my dead body. Sorry.

There are now two united States. The one party system has failed. The left has stolen the country and the right still wants to play nice nice. Call me when a leader emerges with some stones. I am not holding my breath.

No, the right definitely does NOT want to play nice-nice. Only the worthless trash leading the right wants to play nice-nice. The rest of us want our country back at any cost.(I think)

When is the last time the left crossed the aisle and was given credit for being a “maverick”?

Heard that dribble for years, about the far Left and the far Right having more in common than they think.

RUBBISH.

Pure RUBBISH.

Freedom vs Compulsion
Truth vs Lies

No Common Ground. EVER!

As far as I am concerned the time of civil debate is over. After being called every insult in the DU lexicon here in Minnesota, it is now war.

unless the left changes their world view to match mine, I have no interest in uniting with them.

I don’t know if you and I are a minority or not. All I know is that I’m about fed up with america. I really wonder if americans deserve freedom anymore. Tell me why I should care about my fellow american? I can’t connect with america anymore. And it’s not just because obama is prez. It seems like I just don’t belong here anymore. But I can’t think of any place where I’d fit in better than here.

I actually blame the right more than I do the left. The left is what the left is. The left stands for something...THE LEFT! Tell me what the right is standing for these days? They sure as F* don’t stand for the right! So what good is the right?

The Fabians have spun the masses into playing class warfare. Neither side is either principled or right. At this point both sides are so blinded by rage that they don’t care if they tear the whole damn country down around them trying to destroy the other.

It’s exactly what that Marxist Soros and his pals wanted. They get to fill the vacuum of power. The only option is unity and ousting the bastards who did this. We need to find a way to put people in power who put country before class. Anything else leaves us all in chains.

“The left seeks the destruction of America.”

Actually the left does not see this administration or stimulus as the failure it is appearing to be.

Some because they WANT socialism, some because they are NOT paying attention at all. Many do not care if the kids will pay the bill because they figure they won't be here and forced to chip in.

Some conservatives and libertarians are not admitting to the fact that our country is broken, nor that it can not exist with two different mindsets.

One no longer wants what the founders started here (just the benefits and freedoms), and the other wants a return to what the founders gave us. If bHo gets to appoint 2 more justices the country may be irrevocably broken as it exists.

Everyone needs to see the situation as it exists NOW and realize it is NOT getting better. When that actuality sinks home, there will be basically two choices.

Which side you decide to fall on might just determine the future of these lands we know as the U.S.A.. So think hard and decide what the next few years could be for you.

Think also though, that the one side is moving fast, so the freedom to choose might not last long. Then you will be forced by default to choose one side or another.

Believe though that right now you may be assisting in attaining one course or the other! Which will it be?

Tick, tick, tick....

That's an interesting question.

Given the "dynamic center" offered by Clinton and the "Third Way" socialists it may be the only way to save a republic.

We need bipartisanship on Main Street.

As long as the political parties play the citizenry off of each other, they get to maintain their network of back-scratching, power hungry, non term-limited, politicians.
