Doggone, why go after the guns, or the ammo, just go after the people who shoot other people. Pull'em in. Take'em off the street. Lock'em up.
Seems simple enough to me!

What part of “right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” do they not understand. This is clearly an infringement on bearing arms.

Reload your own? Most of the microstamping bills also have provisions to make reloading illegal.

I couldn’t agree more with this article. This is a Psycho-recession.

Time to make a range simulator "gun" that provides kick and sound like a real pistol for simulated fire ranges. Build in in various popular pistol styles and allow it to vary in kick based on the type of ammo selected. That way you can get hours of practice without burning up any of your precious hoard of ammunition.
No, it won't be as fun as blowing apart a target, but at least you'll get more than pointing at the target and saying "Bang!" for practice.

As I recall, the reloading industry would grind to a screeching halt, as home grown would NOT be exempt from the law as it’s proposed. I will look for some cites.
So, all the load data I’ve generated over the last 20 plus years would be for naught. And, I find it a nice, peaceful, quiet hobby, too.

Sounds fun but won’t be much good for hunting, self defense, or resisting an oppressive govt.

This bill would be reversed in 2010. The barcode would be worthless and would simply open a new type of theft, that of ammunition.
I don’t see it passing in most states if it passes in any. It is simply an attempt to provide a market for a patented technology by one company which does not now have a market. Think in terms of IPOs that are first offered to our reps and senators before the general public and you get the whole picture.
They will keep at it though, so communicating your displeasure to your state reps and Senators is very important.

Sounds fun but wont be much good for hunting, self defense, or resisting an oppressive govt. Like I said, it is to get practice without burning up your hoard of ammunition. You get the range time you need without having to pull out a box or two of ammo you have hidden underneath your floor.

Path of Least Resistance: It is much easier to go after law-abiding citiziens than to go after the dangerous criminals committing the crimes.

We did our hunting shells.
They’ll take away the ability to do that also.
Make bows and arrows. We still have wood. They can’t get rid of all the wood.
Or can they?

One of the uses for this bill is to enahnce wongful death suits, particularly for police and I think once they think this bill through, most municipalities would like it to fail.

Doesn’t matter if you buy tons now, they have a built in date that after that date, any ammo you have now will be illegal. Keeps you from hording lots for later.
