Gun ownership rights are under 'stealth' attack. While Congress and the public have been obsessed with the 'Spendulus Bill', three things have occurred that should make every gun owner fearful. The items are H.R. 45 introduction, confirmation of Eric Holder as Attorney General and the government medical records data base that is mandated in the stimulus bill. Let me explain.
First, H.R. 45 was filed in the House of Representatives by Rep Rush, Bobby L.[IL] on January 6, 2009. This bill will impose severe restrictions for licensing on gun ownership. This anti gun bill requires that all new guns be licensed. The bill goes retroactive after two years. What this means is that two years after the passage of this bill, all firearms in your possession must be registered. This will not just apply to new gun purchases.
Second, Eric holder was confirmed as Attorney General. Eric Holder has a very anti gun record. He supported the District of Columbias handgun ban and has argued the second amendment to the Constitution does not protect an individual's right to firearm ownership. Also, Eric Holder has supported national handgun licensing and mandatory trigger locks.
Third, sections 13101 through 13434 of HR 1 will set up the infrastructure to computerize the medical records of all Americans in a government-coordinated database. This database will contain all records of medical and psychiatric treatment. This will include what drugs you have been prescribed. Why is this worrisome? Under the NICS Improvement Act, 150,000 veterans have already been unfairly stripped of their gun rights by the government. These rights were removed without a court hearing. Now, we will all be susceptible to this tactic.

If you think that will happen with this Congress, you're definitely smoking something.
That way I am diversified. If someone, whether thief or goon, comes to my home, they will only get the ones I keep. I will give them up in a nonviolent manner, with a strong protest.
If that were to happen, I would then have to think about the next step. I would not give up the rest willingly. Rob me once, shame on you; rob me twice, shame on me. I hope it never comes to that.
I don't think it will come to actual violence, with a few exceptions. We may be driven "underground" for a few years as far as 2A freedom goes, but there simply aren't enough jackboots in existence to come and take them all. One or two high-profile incidents like Ruby Ridge would incite a massive spirit of resistance. At least I hope it would.
At the first open gun grab he has no idea what he is unleashing!
It will be like opening Pandora’s Box.
No fireman will put it out.
As for that day, me and mine will serve the Lord (and serve much lead down range). For it is far better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

I ain’t hidin’ squat! If people think it’s time to hide them, it’s probably time to use them.
We here in Dixie have drawn ours on Americans before.
That is the question, isn't it. If conditions are so bad that we'd consider caching our firearms, are they not bad enough that we should consider using them instead? I suppose that the answer depends upon a more precise version of the question. Does one frame the question as "Should we hide some of them?" Or is it "Should we hide all of them?" If "all" better describes the situation, then "draw" is your answer.
Be Ever Vigilant!
Molon Labe!!
Hide some, use the others.
the government medical records data base that is mandated in the stimulus bill.
Does this apply to medicare and medicaid, or do they plan to try to take over our private insurance and our doctors too?
I’m worried I’d have to draw them on Americans
These Marxist’s are American in name only. They are NOT real Americans.
bttt.....
But of course! And pay for it with our confiscated private retirement plans!
Indeed. And if enough people think in a similar fashion, it will be best to live on your feet!
The truth is, if the question has to be asked, the answer is already apparent.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
What is the point in having them if we have to hide them?
I pretty much don’t go to “the doctor” - I mean I’ll go to someone if I need something done but I don’t go just to go. Well I went against my instincts and went a few months ago. Interesting one of the questions asked in the interview was “do you have any guns in the house?”. To which the reply was “no”. Interesting about the federalizing of all medical records. Of course my CCW permit would tell anyone my true interests.
