The first domino falls....
Karl Rove has been pointing out the obvious: Obama and Co. are flying by the seat of their pants and making it up as they go along.
I read an article in the last few days saying that moderate RINOs are disappearing (true) AND that mod/conservative Democrats are disappearing at the same time in the Obama era. I find big fault with that.
RINOs are indeed becoming extinct since their mushy policy positions deflate their base and give voters, even if reliably right-of-center, no reason to make any extra effort to vote for them. BUT, the “moderate” and “conservative” Dem business is big these days since so many Blue Dogs and DLC types have won office in the last few years in red and purple districts.
Today’s Demos are much less politically solidified than one might think.....sort of like mushy-middle GOP reps were a few years ago.
It’s a cycle that repeats itself. The party in power often tries to water itself down in order to win approval while dejecting it’s core values.
Stimulus.........smimulus........if it comes down to defense or gun control or state insurance laws, they come back home when it really counts in their own interest regradless of any national pressure.
Duh.
Better relations with Iran might mean trouble with Israel for U.S.

Hikind should have become a Republican years ago. His views are much closer to the GOP than to Obama and crew, and in fact he openly supported McCain in the presidential election.
