“..If Obama had to do something extremely stupid and get lots of bad press in an election year..”

Obama will NEVER EVER get bad press from the MSM.
NEVER.

How could that happen with Dems holding the House and Senate.

We may not survive until 2010 - I’m serious.

I am starting to think that BO is really, really a sleeper cell.

Here is a George Soros-backed initiative, which demonstrates why you have to thank God, and then keep fighting against this nonsense. George and ACORN got the WH, now they want the states.

That’s one of the outcomes they hope for. Dems will be outnumber us, and therefore get more representation and funds.

“The Obama administration reportedly wants the U.S. Census to be run directly out of the White House, as opposed to by a politically insulated official within the Department of Commerce.

This would apparently be unprecedented and unlawful because federal law provides that the Census must be administered by the Commerce Department.”

...............
We don’t really believe that the Commerce Department is politically independent, do we? Seems like form over substance. Perhaps it should be conducted by 3 private companies, and the results “averaged”?

“He tries to do this and he gets IMPEACHED.”

Don’t count on it, there are too many already lined up at the trough, and he is their best bet at keeping it full and overflowing with goodies.

Maybe he selected a Republican Commerce Secretary to provide cover. Last night on FOX the Rat talking point was that having a bipartisan review (Republican Commerce Secretary and White House henchman Rahm Emmanuel) reviewing the census would be better. That’s the line they plan to use to fool the sheep. It sounds so reasonable and bipartisan. People who know better need to speak up and do it loudly.

The CommieDims have laws. The ones they want to enforce on us and the ones they deny exist. That is the only two types that they recognize.

They don’t need laws. They believe they are the law.

They also don't need a real census - they already know what the results will be and the numbers they want published.

I appreciate your comment. The problem with zero is what we are already learning which is we can’t trust him for a second. He and his progressive caucus mob are on a mission. Add Acorn and their covert tax fraud methods to the mix and it’s a whole different threat to our Constitutional freedoms.

I do believe there is more going on that meets the eye.

Check this out from the Washington Post: Obama's NSC Will Get Sweeping New Powers

This has nothing to do with Hopenchage, and has everything to do with consolidation of power. I do believe Obama is a dimwit, but he is an extreme ideological dimwit, and arrogant to boot. A very bad combination.

He may be a dumbass, but he believes the socialist marxist crap to the core. He has said
"...But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf..."

The emphasis is mine, but the point is, he is not praising The Constitution, he is lamenting it.

He thinks the Constitution has a fundamental flaw" in it because it reflects what he sees as a fundamental flaw in the Republic, that it doesn't address things like socialism which is reflected in this direct quote from him:
“I think we can say that the Constitution reflected an enormous blind spot in this culture that carries on until this day, and that the Framers had that same blind spot. I don’t think the two views are contradictory, to say that it was a remarkable political document that paved the way for where we are now, and to say that it also reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day.”

In case it isn't clear to anyone, this "flaw" in one of the most perfect guidelines for running a government is that "the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society" aren't directly addressed in it.

And this guy, along with the train of communists, marxists and socialists he brings with him, are now running our country.

Worse, he and the people pulling his strings want to bring in a jackhammer and destroy the Constitution so they can recreate it in a way that works for them. We now have racists, socialists and marxists controlling two out of the three branches of the government, Legislative and Executive. Within a year or two, it will also be the Judicial as well.

On November 4th, 2008, our country entered what I see as the biggest crisis in its history. I don't see this as melodrama, but we are entering the active phase of what all strong Republics should be most wary of:

Destruction from within.

Beginning in the 1930's and accelerating in the 1960's, it was in a passive phase. We did not have radicals controlling things in the government with an eye to tearing it down so they can build it in their own image.

But we do now.

This made my blood run cold: (From the American Spectator, talking about "The Secretary of State Project":

The founders of the Secretary of State Project, which claims to advance "election protection" but only backs Democrats, religiously believe that right-leaning secretaries of state helped the GOP steal the presidential elections in Florida in 2000 (Katherine Harris) and in Ohio in 2004 (Ken Blackwell).

The secretary of state candidates the group endorses sing the same familiar song about electoral integrity issues: Voter fraud is largely a myth, vote suppression is used widely by Republicans, cleansing the dead and fictional characters from voter rolls should be avoided until embarrassing media reports emerge, and anyone who demands that a voter produce photo identification before pulling the lever is a racist, democracy-hating Fascist.

The group was co-founded in July 2006 by James Rucker, formerly director of grassroots mobilization for MoveOn.org Political Action and Moveon.org Civic Action. "Any serious commitment to wrestling control of the country from the Republican Party must include removing their political operatives from deciding who can vote and whose votes will count," said another co-founder, Becky Bond, to the San Francisco Chronicle in 2006.

Our Country is in peril.

Possibly. I doubt anyone but those intimate with the adminstration will know for sure. It’s either a clever subterfuge or spin. I am a little fuzzy right now but wasn’t Commerce originally to be Richardson’s post before he withdrew?

As I have said for a long time, the only way we're going to win things back is to go to The People, not via political maneuvering. Some people just don't get it...how far out of it we are. Check out my tagline--anyone listening to the voters from before the 2004 election would know how quickly the GOP was sinking (see graphs below).

We must get the message out and get voters back to understanding the advantages of limited government and the dangers of what the Left is doing.

Clearly THE major step to drive a stake thru the heart of what remains of the Republican Party! At this point the only successful finesse of this attack would be to ‘Agree’, and create a new conservative party (excluding RINOs, etc). I kinda like the name “Anti-Socialist Party(ASP)”.

Thank God congressional districts are left up to the states or Obama would demand the White House draw congressional lines.

If bailing out banks lets them call the shots on executive pay and other management functions, how much bailout money to states will it take for them to be able to call the shots in the states???
