Why do those isolated villages need food and why can’t that representative rent a few trucks and haul it up there?
Because you don't "just rent a few trucks and haul it up there." Most of these villages are so isolated the only way to reach them is by air, which is prohibitively expensive. Sometimes the weather conditions are so bad the planes can't fly for long periods of time, and supplies run very short.
