Not to be callous, but incidentally, I'm not sure $5000 is a "prize" German Shepherd. Not bad, but probably no SchH type dog.

I’m suspicious of people who don’t like dogs. I’m extremely suspicious of people my own dogs dislike.
Anyone who would poison a dog is capable of much worse, imho.
Having lost a dog to malicious poisoning...
I hope they string this guy up by his short and curly’s and let a pack of dogs eat him.
I have no compassion to anyone that would harm a dog.
