As if to prove the intellectual and moral superiority of Manhattanites, the New York Times ran an editorial last Sunday headlined The Nativists Are Restless.
The relentlessly harsh Republican campaign against immigrants has always hidden a streak of racialist extremism, the Times said. Now after several high-water years, the Republican tide has gone out, leaving exposed the nativism of fringe right-wingers clinging to what they hope will be a wedge issue.
To tell you the truth, were honored to be called extremist, racialist and nativist by a bunch of elitist, socialist liar-ists.
OK fine, so I’m a racist but I still oppose illegal immigration from anywhere.
Have I missed something?
But, I thought we were all hyphenated natives.
That means you like Caucasian Nativity scenes.
>So since polls have shown that 60-70% of Americans oppose amnesty and want border enforcement, does that mean most Americans are right wingers? Jeez, it’s no wonder the NYT is going belly up.
Indeed so. And I’m sure upwards of 95% would say they want justice. (I think “uniformly applied” added might drop it, might not though.)
The NYT uses PC terms and name calling to undermine America.
IF the NY Times were really honest they’d give their property back to the Indians.
How does that explain John McCain?
The Marxists are going to pull you, yes YOU, out, front and center, and villify you.
By you, I mean the American christian, patriotic white male.
Do you think they were eluding to some other demographic? Absolutely not.
What you are witnessing is a takeover.
They have to make you the “extremist”. Power has rested in the hands of white males and they must destroy that to fully take hold.
Political correctness is where it all started. Making words weaponlike—a victim for every word those on the right dare to utter—a linguistic shackle.
Now, they simply add words, phrases, individuals, institutions, whole races to the “politically incorrect” bin and, presto!, instant villification.
That was an oversimplification of how it works—but you get the gist.
(See Britain and its nauseating obsession with political correctness and incessant apologizing.)
It’s quite ingenious, actually.
The left is working much, much harder than the right to win this. It’s impressive to observe their speed.
Speed is critical as they must make their moves while the public is still paralyzed with fears regarding their livelihood and stoned from 0bama’s “hope and change” opiate—and while the right is still stuck on stupid with the “it can’t happen here” fools.
In fact, most on the right fail to recognize a war is being waged at all, much less put up a fight.
They’re more concerned about an athlete smoking a plant, or a mentally ill woman having 14 kids.
As long the “it can’t happen here”, “oh, come now, socialism? In this country?” crowd is dominant we are sitting ducks.
As I read the news daily I keep catching myself thinking: So this is what it looks like. I’ve always wondered how the destruction of this country would come about.
I’ve never considered it impossible for America to fall.
On the contrary, I always wondered why Americans were so confident in this regard—I saw it as a gaping hole of weakness.
If no threat, or worthy adversary, exists then why bother with a defense? Or, why bother to teach the next generation about a threat?
It’s so very fragile, freedom. It’s easily, easily destroyed if not vigorously, and sometimes violently, defended and protected.
Freedom cannot be sustained by humans in our current state of evolution without proactive defense—without this inertia IT WILL FALTER.
What most don’t understand is that freedom IS evolution.
Without it we stagnate and die—it’s just that raw, just that simple. We move forward, or we die—we can’t move forward if we’re not free.
