It's interesting to observe how the news media has latched on to this story of Michael Phelps being photographed while allegedly smoking marijuana through a “water bong”.
If he is smoking marijuana, I think it is a shame but the part that intrigues me is what this reveals about our national psychology.

Someone out there MUST have photos of Obama toking up and partying. Why weren’t questions raised about Obama losing his funding and benefactors?
Pelps had the added dimension of the desecration of a premier atheletic body. His unparraleld athletic accomplishments were physical accomplishments. That is what made the drug using all that more shocking.
The MSM is making money on their Star Obama. They do not care about his past, just like he is a movie star. If more people watch because of Obama, they can sell more ads. McCain did not have the Star qualities such as being a Socialist.
