I understand Dr. Orly is seeking to compel or prod the Exeutive Branch and Attorney Generals to perform their jobs.

Step one of many to follow?

She is representing Alan Keyes- a candidate! Federal Court.

The subpoena can lead to proving Presidential ineligibity and crime- it will not be easily ignored.

SCOTUS can act on their own with enormous info available.

I’ve always thought that pursuing this as a civil matter via lawsuits wouldn’t work, and that this should be pursued with indictments in a criminal court. Looks like at least somebody agrees, positive news.

The original birth certificate will probably prove British citizenship and/or that Obama was born in Kenya. Either way makes him ineligible to serve as President. Could prove forged COLB (Certification of Live Birth) that was released by Obama’s campaign and posted on his web site.

The other documents can support these claims and more such as switching to Indonesian citizenship as a minor child. His mother was to young to pass along American citizenship- dad was a foreigner.

Thank you.

I love Dr. Keyes.

My family and I were Keyesters in 2000. He is a brilliant man.

How things would have been different, but that is already 9 years in the past. We need to continue to go forward rather than stay in the past.

The subpoena can lead to proving Presidential ineligibity and crime- it will not be easily ignored.

It will be ignored because (1) the lawsuit will be dismissed for lack of standing, like all of the previous suits filed on this issue, and (2) for the reasons I posted above, Orly has no right to issue a subpoena.

SCOTUS can act on their own with enormous info available.

SCOTUS can never "act on their own." All they can do is review decisions of lower courts if they are asked to. Even then, they hear only the cases they want to. So far, they have refused to review any of the dismissals of these cases.

You are trying to discourage our political momentum. Are you really a Democrat plant? I’m not an attorney and my exact knowledge isn’t completely accurate, but I disagree with you.... They can assign a Special Investigator, subpoena the evidence, conduct the investigation and then present the findings- “blow the lid off this case.”

I've been a FReeper since August 1998. Do you really think I'm a Democratic plant, and not just someone who honestly disagrees with you?

I’m not an attorney and my exact knowledge isn’t completely accurate, but I disagree with you.... They can assign a Special Investigator, subpoena the evidence, conduct the investigation and then present the findings- “blow the lid off this case.”

I am an attorney, and I can tell you unequivocally that the Supreme Court cannot legally conduct investigations on their own. They can hear appeals from lower courts' decisions, if the parties to the case ask them to. There is no statute or court rule authorizing the Supreme Court to "assign a Special Investigator."

Was just curious since you seemed to favor the Democrat position. A notable attorney such as Orly Taitz wouldn’t make such a move if the case didn’t have a legitimate chance. “Crime” has standing.

LL is right. A good part of lawyering is picking the right battles.

A notable attorney such as Orly Taitz

A notable attorney? Ted Olson is a notable attorney. Ken Starr is a notable attorney. What case has Orly ever handled besides this one? According to the California State Bar website, she has been practicing barely 6 years, and graduated from an unaccredited law school.

“Crime” has standing.

Orly is filing civil cases, not criminal cases, and so far every one has been dismissed for lack of jurisdiction or lack of standing.

I would say that Orly Taitz is making quite an impact on the national level. That is why we are hearing from so many trying to defend the Democrat position.

I’m sorry if you think I’m “trying to defend the Democrat position.” I’m trying to dispel a lot of misconceptions about our court system and how it actually operates which I keep reading on FR, most of them posted by nonlawyers.

We non lawyers here are concerned citizens who know a sham when we see one. We can read! The Constitution says that the President must be a natural born American citizen. By having Obama hide his original birth certificate from examination, it can easily be concluded that he’s most certainly a British born citizen. The only word out is that he was born in Kenya.

We citizens know that eventually some authority will have to listen to our noise.
