I've been a FReeper since August 1998. Do you really think I'm a Democratic plant, and not just someone who honestly disagrees with you?
Im not an attorney and my exact knowledge isnt completely accurate, but I disagree with you.... They can assign a Special Investigator, subpoena the evidence, conduct the investigation and then present the findings- blow the lid off this case.
I am an attorney, and I can tell you unequivocally that the Supreme Court cannot legally conduct investigations on their own. They can hear appeals from lower courts' decisions, if the parties to the case ask them to. There is no statute or court rule authorizing the Supreme Court to "assign a Special Investigator."
Was just curious since you seemed to favor the Democrat position. A notable attorney such as Orly Taitz wouldn’t make such a move if the case didn’t have a legitimate chance. “Crime” has standing.
