Lots of newspapers have been forced to lower the circulation numbers and pay back advertisers for faking the numbers.

I haven't heard anything like that happening to Rush.

The fun is trying to track down Rushbo's numbers. Today I heard he either had 6 million, 12 million or 20 million listeners (depending on the right wing hag bag talking). Now how do they come up with those numbers?

[So why is Obama so OBSESSED with Rush Limbaugh if his audience is really low? BTW, even a 6 million audience is something that Randi Rhodes could only dream about and in actual fact it is well over 20 million listeners.]

'm one of many (I would like to think a number of people did) who wrote the WH last week to suggest that Limbaugh be taken off AFR because of his unpatriotic stance, i.e. wishing Obama and his administration to fail. Someone here on DU suggested we do that and I followed through.

[Have the DUmmies ever considered what the TROOPS want to hear on Armed Forces Radio? If it were ever put to a vote, Rush's show on AFR would be expanded from one to three hours per day.]

Rush is probably the most popular host on AFR. Besides that, remember that Hussein was at the gym, instead of visiting the troops when he was in Iraq, and missed the 'Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball'. Instead, he hobknobed with hollyweird celebs.

In Eisenhower's speech that it is quoted from, he didn't warn us against it, he said to be vigilant they don't get to big, but to not fear it, it was a natural growth from a changing world where an arms industry was necessary for current and future wars to keep us ready.

Raise enough money off the auction to pay off the mortgage and then give the house away. As I recall, Symbolman got around this being an illegal lottery by making it an essay contest that cost $100 to participate in.

The 6 and 12 million numbers were in the first few years of his current show and he never went back. The 20 million has never been disproved, just whined about by the left. They wail and gnash their teeth about how unfair competing in the free market is.

I love how those libs constantly bash the "evil" company Clear Channel yet CC basically gave Air America around 40 stations for affiliates doubling their numbers overnight.
