This just took tinfoil hats to a whole new level.
It’s a first amendment issue. FR, DU, and every other political site on the net are protected speech.
They will search my emails and find out what I am planning for dinner.
LOL!
They seemed to miss the mark on that divorce decree story.
Look. I know some of my jokes are really bad and maybe my typos too numerous, but let us not get carried away here.
There’s a free republic facebook group. I suggest joining that also.
Come get me!
Will API be confirming this story?
Team Sarah has its own issues, but Free Republic is well-established and would be very difficult to attack. Someone is being a little overly paranoid in this email.
I find it’s best to go to the source when it comes to stories like this.
Free Republic is not going anywhere. This is still America not AmeriKA.
Don’t underestimate a Muslim-trained Socialist Chicago machine politician with humungous gobs of POWER.
They’re coming to take you away ha ha he he ho ho....

Be careful. Bill O’Reilly’s site was not protected and was infiltrated. I watched them do this and contacted his webmaster. It included membership passwords, as well, that could have been used in other, more crucial places. Just a heads up!
K. *tinfoil hat off, now* ;)
Well I think you have a point.
The law means very little to this new breed of RAT...
Since the very beginning there have been numerous attempts to bring down FR and it is still here.
We do have to be ever vigilant of course.
Shouldn’t you be researching Obama Sr.’s divorce decree or something?
This ought to help increase those slumping firearm sales. Paranoia will destroy ya.
This article is pretty paranoid, about the site being taken down. I don’t think that is going to happen. Even if there were an outage, the internet is a slippery, global thing that is not easily quashed — even all-controlling commie China still cannot manage to block everything from the web. In the worst case scenario, JimRob could probably find an ISP willing to host FR, and I would hope that he is backing up the site — backups are just good practice.
However, EVERYONE would be well advised that anything written or shared on the internet, INCLUDING private email (unless you use PGP or other encryption system), should be presumed to be possibly made public at any time. So, be aware. Do not share in email anything you would not be comfortable sharing with the entire world. A former co-worker of mine recently found out about this the hard way when an email she thought was sent to a private mailing list was published in a widely-read blog.
Be careful out there.
