Let's Get the Obama Birth Certificate

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says that they have Obama's "birth certificate" and that we can see it.

You are both right in a way.

The link goes to a article that in itself does not mention the BC offer-its about the oath. But the person who posted this here told us that and said the same page the article is on contains a VIDEO in which the BC offer was made.

The poster of this thread explained that here:

So right away the poster is telling us the bc offer is not in the article itself and directs us to where he claims it is. He then continues:

Horsley was at the White House as he spoke. Horsley recounts how Obama retook the oath of office. Siegel then mentions "that lawsuit" that was brought against Obama which alleged he was not born in Hawaii but rather in Indonesia (just shows how informed the mainstream media is). Horsley laughs as Siegel was referring to the law suit. Siegel then continues that it was a good idea for Obama to redo the oath to avoid "that kind of lawsuit" from being litigated. Go to 2:33 in the segment and then you will hear Horsley say the following:

"It it it reminded Press Secretary Robert Gibbs of that very thing too. He was joking about this this [sic] morning and said 'You know we have we have [sic] the birth certificate if you if you [sic](Siegel laughs) want to see it . . . .'" Horsely then concludes his report by telling us how Chief Justice Roberts re-administered the oath. "

Gosh..., the list was getting so long, I almost expected to see all FReepers listed here, too..., being named in this case... LOL...

Below is the part of the conversation wherein Press Secretary Gibbs said that we can see the “birth certificate.” Isn’t anyone interested in seeing it? Will someone contact the White House, tell them that we accept Gibbs’ gracious offer, get a copy ot it, and send it to me at apuzzo@erols.com?

I apologize if I am being think and missing something here, but this article is about the oath. I saw nothing about a BC.

You noticed that did you, lies are spins makes no difference to some, the poster was just looking for something to attach his BS.

It's completely disgusting. They were yucking it up about a Constitutional requirement. But they did talk about the lawsuits and the birth certificate, if only "jokingly".

They didn't bother to mention that not only does the Constitution specify the exact oath, it requires that it be taken "Before he enter on the Execution of his Office". So if there was some need to take it again, he hadn't yet qualified for the office, and all the executive orders he signed and appointments he made before retaking the oath, would be invalid, because he had not properly taken the oath...unless he also signed a copy before the inauguration, but in that case, why bother with the do over?
