Here is video of Gen. Colin Powell talking with ABC yesterday about the inauguration of Barack Obama as President. During the interview, Powell said about his party affiliation, "I think I am still a Republican." He makes the statement at the 4:02 mark in the video.
Well, Gen. Powell, to have thrown a fairly moderate Republican like John McCain over the side, despite his heroic service to America and his wisdom in supporting the surge strategy in Iraq, it will be hard for you to make the case to any Republican that you have a single GOP bone in your body. To hope Republicans field a candidate in the future as liberal as Barack Obama is to hope for the complete disappearance of the Republican Party. . . . . . (watch video)

With all due respect sir(respect for your service to our country) I think you are a turncoat.
Mr. niteowl
(ex-Republican)
Republican does not equal conservative. For reference see John McCain
So NOW he wants to come running back to the GOP after screwing over. No thanks. You wanted the inexperiened doofus, so go sit around his office.
“So NOW he wants to come running back to the GOP after screwing over”
Clarification: So NOW he wants to come running back to the GOP after BEING screwed over.
Mr. Powell represents Republicans as Hitler did Jews.
And Madonna still thinks she's a young, beautiful, headlining singer. But that ain't so either.
General, I think you are full of sh*p.
sorry for the crudeness.
“Colin Powell Says “I think I am Still a Republican”
Well, General, until you:
1. Spit out the Kool-Aid,
2. Apologize for the massive brain fart you experienced when you endorsed 0bama, and
3. Actually adopt conservative values,
you’re a turncoat and a liberal democrat. Have you collected your 30 pieces of silver, yet?
He should change his name to Colon Bowell.
“We’ve got to learn a lesson from this election.”
This is rich. Powell turned on the Republican party to take them to school? Nah, he turned on the Republicans to support a black candidate and he doesn’t have the balls to say so.
A duck can think he’s an eagle, too.
That doesn’t mean he is.
If you have to think about it, you aren’t.
Powell chose melanin over values. The GOP does not need that kind of immaturity. Go away, Powell.
Shut up, REMF.
Powell, I don’t give a rats-ass WHAT you think!
YOU sir, are a media WHORE, and NOTHING MORE.
“I THINK I AM STILL A REPUBLICAN” (????????) If he is a republican, then break down and destroy the Republican party and build it again from scratch, because it means nothing anymore. It is a party of gutless cowards. We need another Reagan to emerge from the ashes if the Republican party is to have a furure.
Colin Powell “I think I am still a Republican”

So General Powell, let me explain something. The fact is Republicans did not listen to me. They listened to you. They have not been listening to me for years. The Republican Party nominated your ideal candidate. They nominated your guy, a moderate, who’s willing to buy into an endless array of liberal causes, from global warming — ...As long as you are a Republican but you buy into an endless array of liberal causes, global warming to amnesty for illegals, and somebody who has the same fetish for compromising principles that you do, then they are going to love you. Then you turn around and you stab this person in the back by endorsing the most liberal Democrat candidate ever nominated days before the election, General Powell?
Rush Limbaugh
Colin Powell reached his Peters Principle limit as a Captain in Vietnam. It was all downhill brown nosing from there on.
