Thanks for posting that. I missed the live version. I’m really upset and I need a drink.

Well, he is a GOOD man. He disappointed me a couple of times, but he is righteous, upstanding, strong, and courageous. I wish he was just getting elected instead of saying goodbye.

Tut, Tut, Tut.
I stayed up til 1.30AM here in Britain to watch it. :<)

I thought it was a wonderful speech, 9/11 speeches aside, GWB rarely inspired me with his oratories, even though I admired many aspects of his Presidency.

My impressions were that last nights address was wonderfully patriotic in a Conservative manner, non apologetic to his critics, sincere about him doing some things slightly different with hindsight, and with the definitive reminder that America has been safe since 9/11.
It set the tone for Obama's coming period of office.

It made me proud to be an American . . OH WAIT, I'm English!

I just hope and pray for America that Obama's mustard isn't tested early in his Presidency a-la Bush was on 9/11, cos that guy ain't gonna cut it if he is.
