Slaughter of the Dissidents (SOD) picks up where the movie "Expelled" leaves off. If you thought Expelled was mind-blowing, then this book will educate you even further on many of the stories about expelled scientists and educators introduced in the movie."Expelled" has taken many Americans by surprise. Suddenly, a growing number of people are wondering: what is this discrimination against Darwin skeptics all about? What do you mean we kick people out of academia just for asking questions about evolution! Is this really true?
Yup - you better believe it is. Of course, there are many who try to argue against such claims, as you can see from visiting sites like "Expelled Exposed." We plan to provide some rebuttals to those arguments at some point in the future. But for now...
You won't believe some of the reasons many educators have lost their jobs, or why some students failed to get an otherwise earned degree, and how they often get blackballed from academia. This pernicious form of discrimination is not only widespread in the U.S. but is also nauseating to most Americans. SOD goes into great detail about how and why it occurs, and provides you with scores of actual case studies. As you read this book you'll discover that one of the most precious things we own is at risk, right here in America. What is that?
In a word,
FREEDOM
Freedom to disagree about some aspects of evolution without losing your job or being denied an earned degree. Freedom to tell people you dare to question any aspect of evolution on scientific grounds - without referencing any religious text. And also the freedom to let others know what you personally believe outside of science without having such an utterance turn into a rabid witch hunt. Do you know it has reached the point in America where, on this subject at least, if you are an educator and you opine that you have reservations about any aspect of evolution based on scientific evidence, you are often immediately labeled as "religious" (whether you really are or not), and you are (often) immediately determined to be 'unfit' to teach science or get a science degree? And speaking of religion, it looks like we live in an era where freedom OF religion has been twisted to mean freedom FROM religion. Some groups supporting this type of discrimination proclaim that "Freedom depends on free thinkers," unless, of course, you happen to be 'religious'.
Yes, it's THAT bad!
Challenging the veracity of any aspect of evolution has become the kiss of death for the career of many an educator, student, and scientist. And the reaction of those who seek to harm Darwin skeptics for their crime of doubt is palpable, almost visceral. It's as if someone lit a fuse on their misdirected outrage, which fuels their ambition to seek the removal of the human cancer in their midst - the Darwin Doubter. They are on a seek and destroy mission, they'll go to any lengths, and find any excuse in the book to get rid of those who suggest that evolution isn't everything the experts claim it is. And the damage created by this sort of treatment? In addition to losing careers, many Darwin Doubters also often lose their entire savings fighting in court for the rights they expect they should have. They lose their wives, husbands, and families are torn apart. Their lives are turned inside out. The modern evolutionary elitist thugs leave no stone unturned in the wake of their rabid assault againt the freedoms of Darwin skeptics.
And who is paying attention to all this? And more important, why should anyone care?
Well, if you can't get behind what's happening to Darwin skeptics, can you get behind standing up for the freedoms that they are being deprived of? Because if people can be attacked as mercilessly as this group, who is to say what group might be next? The root of this issue is freedom (not the self-serving sanctity of science as the opponents of Darwin skeptics argue...), and it is the denial of many freedoms we all expect to have that is being thrown under the bus here. Listen, science can survive just fine - in fact it thrives - in an environment of challenge. If you silence and remove the voices of skepticism, what remains? In a word...
Dogmatism
Many Darwinists are essentially saying, "only we can be right", and" if you're not with us, you can't sit at the table with us." Dogma connotes arrogance - and that is exactly what we're looking at coming from those who discriminate against Darwin Doubters. Just read any blog devoted to the subject, and you'll see cyber bullying right on the surface - these people don't hide their disdain - nor do their groupie respondents. As you read the case studies in SOD, you'll see the unmistakable arrogance of many who, fueled by their sense of outrage, take unbelievable steps to ensure that the career of the skeptic is completely savaged.
Freedom is one of America's most cherished ideals, and it's currently under big-time attack. And the threat is growing. Unless more people take action to turn the tide on this issue, then we may lose even more ground. This book presents you with instance after instance of people in academia and the scientific community who have lost their jobs, been denied tenure, were denied earned degrees, were demoted on the job, and many times suffered various forms of public humiliation and chastisement. And for what?
Because they dared to dissent about some aspect of evolution or Darwinism
