Opposition is growing from the Left to President-elect Barack Obama's appointment of CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta as the next Surgeon General of the United States. The opposition is coming for Democrat Rep. John Conyers of Michigan because Gupta dared to stand up to Michael Moore when Moore made his pathetic documentary called "Sicko," which extolled the virtues of Universal Health Care in Cuba and Canada. Gupta did a report on Moore's documentary, and he said Moore had fudged some of the facts. Here is the exchange Gupta had with Moore on Larry King Live in July of 2007 . . . (watch video)

I can't miss the opportunity to post Sen. Fred Thompson's response to Michael Moore's "Sicko" film. This is classic Fred . . . (watch video)

Maybe Obama should throw Gupta under the bus and appoint Moore to that position. Then we can drop any pretense about the type of change that Obama intends to inflict upon us.

yeah, I need health advice from that tub of lard. I wonder if he knows that in some countries with socialized medicine, he’d have to lose about 200 lbs before he would be treated for a disease.

He is a disease. Like all liberals, I'm sure he wants socialized medicine imposed on everyone else except him. The rules don't apply to liberals.

You just hit the proverbial nail on the head! Under his dream medical system, aging, overweight boomers like Moore are likely to face the triage of euthanasia rather than waste scarce medical resources that are more efficiently applied to the more productive youth.

Be careful what you advocate, Mr. Moore.

Michael Moore?

Why not, that would be funny. If we're going down in flames we might as well have some fun with it all along the way!

There is a high price to pay for incompetence in leadership. We live in times where people are so disconnected from nature, live with a revisionist sense of history, blinded by ideology and ignorant of the realities of economics and security that near anything has become possible. Look at New Orleans and Nagin. He even got reelected as a reward for his superb performance before, during, and after Katrina. Why not give him a cabinet position or have him run FEMA? LOL

You beat me to it. At least if he chose MM he would be being honest.
