Chanel supremo Karl Lagerfeld defended both the use of fur in fashion and zero-sized models, the Telegraph reported today. He said fur was justified, because the beasts fur comes from animals that would kill us if they could. Although, we are left to wonder, how exactly a mink could kill us?
The Chanel honcho said it was childish to even discuss the issue:
In a meat-eating world, wearing leather for shoes and clothes and even handbags, the discussion of fur is childish.
Though Lagerfeld himself does not wear fur, he defended the practice, saying it is an industry, where people make their livelihoods solely from hunting:
Hunters in the north make a living having learnt nothing else than hunting, killing those beasts who would kill us if they could.

I hunt,,but i think i like this guy. He’s defiant and shoots straight. I bet all the others fashion types launch straight into a discussion of how humanely their fur animal sources are treated. But not this cat,, “they’ed kill us if they got the chance”. LMAO,,,
And how about the skinny model remark??,, “lets address all the fatties before we go after the 1% thats too skinny”!??
He’s *sure* to make some liberal pop a critical vessel.
Wow, this guy is sooo off Peta’s Christmas card list next year.
He’s a gay man who speaks six or seven languages, has a net worth of several hundred million and runs the business with uber German discipline.
Good for him!
