Information scientist, author and evangelist, Dr Werner Gitt, a close friend of CMI, told us that on 23 October 2008 he was subjected to the most strident opposition he had ever encountered...

How do you interpret the following versus?
Leviticus 19:16 Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbors life. I am the Lord. (NIV)
Romans 1:29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips. (NIV)
1 Timothy 5:13 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.
Oh, yes.
I didn’t see any false rumors...the only thing dishonest I’ve seen was your preposterous assertion that we didn’t know who’s side you’re on.
What a joke!
So when it comes to deciding which is true, science, which is continually changing as new data fits in, wins by default?
How are you so sure that it isn’t science that’s really wrong?
So they don't recognize poetry, song, proverb, allegory, metaphor, simile, etc?
Changing? You mean that beautiful feature of science called self-correction?
How are you so sure that it isnt science thats really wrong?
LMAO!
The fact that you can even type that question, post it FR, have me and the rest of the people in this thread read it, and my response are proofs of the power of science.
So:
Heliocentrism or geocentrism, Metmom?
The are a cult. They try to get their members to give them their paychecks then they give back what they think the member needs.
You can see their facility here - http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=80b&pwst=1&resnum=0&q=longview%20baptist%20temple&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
The also sometimes lock the doors to prohibit people from leaving the service without donating.
I am on the side that has the most evidence to support it. The largest Christian denomination and I agree on the subject of evolution.
The position of the Catholic Church on the theory of evolution has moved over the last two centuries from a large period of no official mention, to a statement of neutrality in the 1950s, to a more explicit acceptance in recent years. Today, the official Church's position remains a focus of controversy and is fairly non-specific, stating only that faith and scientific findings regarding human evolution are not in conflict, though humans are regarded as a "special creation", and that the existence of God is required to explain the spiritual component of human origins. This view falls into the spectrum of viewpoints that are grouped under the concept of theistic evolution.
Are you that illiterate?
Here’s a link to teach you about figures of speech...

Examples of Scripture that should not always be taken as statements of fact would be songs and poems and psalms.
If something is declarative and says, *He said* or *she went* or *they traveled* it would not be a stretch to take that as a statement of fact, that something happened as it was recorded.
Why would you look for more meaning in something that is written as a declarative sentence?
Can I take a stab at this one?
For a theory to be accepted as Scientific, it must be observed. It is impossible to observe evolution. If evolution is true, it occurs over millions of years. If you can not observe it, you can not prove it to be true. Therefore, a belief in evolution is just that, a belief. Evolution is not science. It is theory. One must 'believe' in evolution. It is not something anybody can prove. Therefore, evolution is working off of blind faith. There is no scientific data to prove that it does exist.
So, some may look at this as a cult that washes away truth. Can you believe in life that comes from the dead? For evolution to occur, life is brought forth from a dead universe. Now, evolutionist are believing in a resurrection of life from death and in the form of chaos (the big bang). Can life come from chaos? I think death comes from chaos. I accept life coming from death, only in the form of the Resurrection of Christ. Evolutionist can believe in their cult belief, and I will believe in mine. But I accept life from a creator, not life from death.
Don’t want you to think I’m being weird and just asking strange questions, but I’m a curious fellow and like to be as knowledgeable as possible. I “get” the image in your profile, but am not sure who is responsible for it. Googling works of art can be difficult, especially when the image was uploaded to tinypic and thus has a random name.
BTW, science isn't about truth, you know. It's a word best avoided in science. So you can't tell me that I'm wrong because you don't know what is true.
No false rumors, just interpretation based on mountains of evidence. You know, kind of like the ToE.
If science changes as new data comes in, doesn’t that mean what was postulated before was wrong?
How can you use what is wrong to tell someone else that they are wrong?
Are you asking me because you don't know whether or not it's smart to mouth off to me? You know, you can always play it safe and go harrass the folks in the trailer park.
Your religious beliefs aren't my concern. It doesn't bother me as long as you don't bother me with it.
You mean as long as I "acknowledge" that religion is subjective ethno-cultural moral philosophy illustrated by mythology and has no bearing whatsoever upon the "real world?"
Suppose I demand that secularists keep their secularism to themselves? After all, it's not as if there were any obligation or even merit in "scientific truth" in a meaningless world.
Not Christians after all.
Thank you.
I could provide examples of observed evolution but I doubt that you would read them.
You still have yet to reply to my post on what the Bible teaches about the spreading of rumors.
May I expect an answer soon?
