This seems to be the kind of thing Freepers do best.

Surely We, The People, can come up with some position papers.

Best regards to all,

The last thing we need to do is be put on his hit list.

He is not to be trusted, so any effort of “working with him” will either be treated as weakness, and pursued like “Joe the Plumber” or they will try to trick us.

Either way we loose.

Stubborn opposition is the only path for me.

I will not be subjected, pacified, or re-educated to suit the leftist. I know what a Marxist really is and have no illusions of what they are capable of.

I would propose something. This proposition would require that Mr. Obama suspend disbelief. I would ask him to test the worthiness of his creative intelligence:

What would it be like to imagine a world in which the American conservative view is the most accurate? Do you have the powers of imagination to work with the premise, if only for a short period of time, that Ronald Reagan was right?

Shockingly, not a single firearms group has responded

Not so shockingly firearms groups don't want to walk into the lions mouth and be the first disarmed.

The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Any government action which is inconsistent with the Constitution is fundamentally illegitimate. While judges may aid in understanding the Constitution, fundamentally it is the Constitution, not judges’ decrees, that forms the basis of legitimate government.

There’s no point. Why would we want to negotiate down to their level ? The only thing to discuss is less retrictive laws which I’m sure is not their objective. Of course now Hussein will use something out of the Alinsky playbook like “see they don’t want to cooporate”. As far as I’m concerned the 2nd Amendment settles everything, anything else is tyranny.
