In an extraordinary outreach effort, the president-elect is actively soliciting input from special-interest groups with no holds barred. Shockingly, not a single firearms group has responded (there are 39 pages just listing groups that have filed reports).

Surely We, The People, can come up with some position papers.
Best regards to all,
The last thing we need to do is be put on his hit list.
He is not to be trusted, so any effort of “working with him” will either be treated as weakness, and pursued like “Joe the Plumber” or they will try to trick us.
Either way we loose.
Stubborn opposition is the only path for me.
I will not be subjected, pacified, or re-educated to suit the leftist. I know what a Marxist really is and have no illusions of what they are capable of.
I would propose something. This proposition would require that Mr. Obama suspend disbelief. I would ask him to test the worthiness of his creative intelligence:
What would it be like to imagine a world in which the American conservative view is the most accurate? Do you have the powers of imagination to work with the premise, if only for a short period of time, that Ronald Reagan was right?
Not so shockingly firearms groups don't want to walk into the lions mouth and be the first disarmed.
I should add: do you think you have enough confidence in your own worldview to embark on such a journey of the imagination?
I would but Obama isn’t my president and never will be
I’ll be happy to respond with one of my firearms just as soon as one of Hussein’s thugs breaks down my door in an attempt to take it.
Oddly the feeling isn't mutual.
The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land. Any government action which is inconsistent with the Constitution is fundamentally illegitimate. While judges may aid in understanding the Constitution, fundamentally it is the Constitution, not judges’ decrees, that forms the basis of legitimate government.
There’s no point. Why would we want to negotiate down to their level ? The only thing to discuss is less retrictive laws which I’m sure is not their objective. Of course now Hussein will use something out of the Alinsky playbook like “see they don’t want to cooporate”. As far as I’m concerned the 2nd Amendment settles everything, anything else is tyranny.
I see he’s using the old “Your seat at the table” unity them.
In his campaign e-mails, there was a recent effort in getting member subscribers to his barackobama.com website to have “house meetings”. It was encouraged that you invite or “recruit” whoever you can to these meetings to talk about team agendas for your area.
It normally wouldn’t be a bad idea, but you know Obama is Marxist. It means, he and his administration will have the final say anyway. You will be led to believe you have a “voice” in the process, but would you really?
It also encompasses the group model as opposed to individualism.
Then, there is that old strategy of “pose as a friend, but be a spy”.
Actions speak louder than words. Actions define character. What are Obama’s actions really indicating? Unity or dictatorship?
Didn’t other dictatorial types start doing these things first or not?
The whole thing wreaks of Bolshevism, not just this but his entire existence.
