The earth's climate is changing now, as it always has.
Exactly.

...for failing to adhere to Gores scientific views...Gore has no empiric views, only political aims. Get in the way and he has no choice but to throw you under the bus. It should be a badge of honor for this guy to be fired by the Goron.

I have a friend who disagrees with me when I say the moon is moving away from the earth. He can’t see the change from one night to the next so that means it isn’t.

Over the past 500 million years since the Cambrian, when fossils of multicellular life first became abundant, the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have been much higher than current levels, about 3 times higher on average. Life on earth flourished with these higher levels of carbon dioxide, he explained. Why inject facts into this argument?

Very misleading headline. The scientist was not fired for saying 'Warming Alarm 'Mistaken'".
As always: beware the veracity of a press release.

failing to adhere to Gores scientific views Algore lacks professional creds, so cannot have a scientific view in any court of law.

“Award winning Princeton University Physicist Dr. Will Happer, who was reportedly fired by former Vice President Al Gore in 1993 for failing to adhere to Gores scientific views, has now declared man-made global warming fears ‘mistaken’.
Oy! Al Gore having a relevant scientific view on anthropogenic climate issues is like my having a view on quantum physics. Not possible, just not possible. Sounds like I paid more attention in General Science than Al did. I called this one for what it was, and I'm extremely gratified that most of the smart guys whose grant money isn't dependent on lunatics agree.
Dr. Happer, be of good cheer. You've been denounced by a poser. It's all good.

Greenhouse gases are not bad. They are essential. If there were no greenhouse gases, the earth would be far too cold for humans.
CO2 is only present in trace amounts - the latest estimate being about 380 parts per million. Water vapor is far more common.
The media, politicians, and the public are generally ignorant of basic facts. Those who talk about fighting climate change are airheads tilting at windmills. If they want to fight climate change, then they had best figure out a way to control the suns activity. The recent absence of sun spots suggests we may be in for global cooling despite all the noise being made about warming.

Algore lacks professional creds, so cannot have a scientific view in any court of law. Too late-the USSC is convinced that CO2 is a pollutant.

Ping for Dr. Heisenberg...who was only probably there anyway.

Algore lacks professional creds, so cannot have a scientific view in any court of law. Al Gore is a Priest, a Saint even, in the 1st Church of Global Warming. That's a heck of lot more powerful than a mere mortal "Scientist."

Gores global warming brings to mind the famous quote from Shakespeares Macbeth: “..it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

From the article on IceCap.us .
Happer, who served as the Director of Energy Research at the Department of Energy in 1993, says he was fired by Gore in 1993 for not going along with Gores scientific views on ozone and climate issues. I was told that science was not going to intrude on policy, Happer explained in 1993.
