. . . for a month, that is.
And the Republicans are showing some moxie in siding with the American people, who are not getting any bailout from anyone.
The prospects of a $14 billion government rescue of the American auto industry seemed to vaporize Thursday as the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, spoke out forcefully against the bill, effectively ending its chances despite the urgings of the White House.

alright!!
Call Mitch McConnell's office tomorrow and thank him.

What the Republicans need is for him, "W" Bush, to quietly offer a pardon to Blog in return for certain critical information about every Democrat in Illinois politics. Preferably he'd hand over the evidence.
Afterwards, President McKinney can pursue the bailout.
It was a sop to the UAW, nothing more.
Bush has about a month to pull his head out and kick some liberal butt.
Bush supported this piece of garbage legislation. I am done with him.
Never happen. His people told him the economy was going to crash, but he thought he could get out first. He just doesent want to get blamed for any of this, on his watch. What happens afterward he could care less.
IIRC, McConnell voted for the Wall Street Bailout.

And the media will play along like the good soldiers they are, that is until most of them go belly up.
It doesn't matter, ignore the Times. You're wasting your time reading a bunch of half truths.
As an old Coach told me once, if you're going to do something that dumb, drink beer.
OOO RAH!
It’s a short reprieve, but these days, any little moral victory over the big government bums is better than nothing. Once our Kenyan master is in, all of Bush’s dreams can be fulfilled. He can write a book about how hard it was get anything done with all the far right conservatives in his way. I wish him a long and happy retirement from public life.
Whew, I almost went half an hour at FR without someone pimping their blog.
Hard to believe. I hope it stays “vaporized” although I’m skeptical
Don't hold your breath.
