The short story of how I won a $140 messenger bag from the "Why Buy Made In USA" blog, followed by me encouraging people to enter their weekly contest and win some cool stuff too.
It’s a fairly new blog, and he’s giving away an American Made product every week, so the odds of winning are pretty good. And it’s a cool idea and a cool blog.
Wow, thanks, didn’t know anything was left that was made in the usa? Now if we can add products that were 1. made in the usa and by 2. Americans, not illegal aliens.
I can’t buy in the USA.
Go to any store - Walmart or Nordstums - look at any product, and it will say made in China.
Dinner plates, electric lamps, all appliances, clothes, computers, big screen TV, DVD player, even foods - all made in China (a few clothes in Bangladesh or Vietnam or Guatemala).
You can’t find anything made in the USA. The geniuses in business and finance and government tell us this is all good - globalization is just great.
It can’t go on. It is another Ponzi scheme that is about to collapse when the Chinese decide to wage economic war with their trillions of US wealth and their contol on the lifeline of all of our products.
The “experts” will tell me that I’m crazy and just don’t understand the “free market”. A few months back they were telling me I didn’t inderstand the financial markets either, but only a doorknob didn’t see that coming.
The Chinese have us right where they want, and the people in control know it, but like the financial mess, are determined to make their fortunes before we all catch on.
American Made Products Directory
Welcome to the Internet where you can find anything you want,
AMERICAN MADE!
BTW, stay in your basement and gloom away...
How about you address his (valid) points?
Hey Lurker,
How about you address my claim against "Oldbill" not being able to buy anything AMERICAN?
And any automotive company that receives a federal govt bailout and doesn't file Chapter 11, paying off labor bosses and remaining a slave to the UAW/AFL-CIO.
What are you carrying on about please?
You asked, You do tell.
“A few months back they were telling me I didnt inderstand the financial markets either, but only a doorknob didnt see that coming.”
Would you care to repost some of your insights about the crash made prior to the bailouts? There a lot of doornobs out here who could benefit from such brilliance.
Buy a Kia automobile. Made in America by Americans.
Que the “awe sheez” guy.
Kia is KOREAN. Gimme a break.
What is it with the “bash American” on this forum?
Can I write my my “Buy American” essay on my “Made in China” Gateway computer?
I have an American Fender Stratocaster guitar. It’s an awsome guitar, but unfortunately it’s 2.5X as expensive as a Mexican Strat, which are often nearly as good (I have a Mexican Strat also, almost indistinguishable from the MIA).
Gibson still builds (some, not all) guitars in the USA also.
IMHO our current financial mess boils down to one simple fact:
We’ve spent our money.
We’ve sent our jobs elsewhere.
So now what? We’re broke and we don’t make anything.
We need to start playing hardball.
While we still can.
ROTFLMAO
He was emoting, and asking people to share in his misery. Looks like few people bought it [pun intended].
China is on the verge of a massive collapse of their own -- because they are in an awful position on two counts: (1) their biggest customer (the U.S.) is in financial distress, and (2) they've lent a lot of money to their biggest customer (i.e., they own a lot of U.S. debt).
Think of the unenviable position a BANK would be in, if it found out -- simultaneously -- that it's largest mortgage customer was in danger of defaulting on its debt and this same company was also its biggest business banking customer.
